    Announcing LEGO® Ninjago coming to LEGO® Fortnite®

LEGO® Fortnite® Odyssey NINJAGO®: Rise of the Ninja

NINJAGO® has arrived at LEGO® Fortnite® Odyssey! And in true Ninja style, you can expect martial arts moves, your most-loved NINJAGO characters, elemental energies, and a captivating story that puts you front and center as the Ninja who’s destined to save the island once and for all from vicious foes.

To seize victory and save the lands, you first need to know everything about this awesome new NINJAGO update – from the island itself, to Spinjitzu Scrolls, new moves, Resources, Weapons, Stations, and, of course, elemental abilities. So, let’s dive in!

    How to find Ninjago Island

First, the basics. Ninjago Island will be your first automatic destination when you create a new Survival World. But you can also easily access it from the LEGO Fortnite Odyssey menu. To do that, you must create a new Survival world, and you’ll be transported directly to the world of NINJAGO.

If you’re already on an existing Survival island, a welcome screen will show when you load your island. So, no matter where you're located in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, Ninjago Island is easy to access. But beware – things are already dangerous!

What to expect when you arrive on Ninjago Island

It’s a dark and stormy night, and great danger is looming.

Once you arrive on Ninjago Island, a peaceful monk will welcome you, but don’t expect to receive any reassuring news. In the near distance, you’ll see the iconic Monastery right up the path ahead of you, where chaos is ravaging. The Monastery is under attack! Between you and the monastic safe harbor are obstacles, enemies, and a mysterious portal. Luckily, a wise weapon expert arrives who’ll provide you with nunchucks, so you can defend yourself and ultimately, move up the path to the Monastery.

Early on your journey, you’ll also meet an iconic Ninja, who needs your help. Ninja Betrayers have joined the mysterious enemies attacking the Monastery! So, take his advice, begin your quest, and set out to save the island!

    Spinjitzu Scrolls

On Ninjago Island, you’ll follow the path of the Ninja. You’ll learn the ancient martial art of Spinjitzu by collecting and crafting Spinjitzu Scrolls, a powerful kind of Passive Equipment that unlocks skills when equipped.

The first scrolls you’ll receive will give you the ability to Double Jump, eliminate fall damage with Breakfall Landing, scoot in style with Ninja Run, and perform a whirling offensive move with the Spinjitzu Tornado.

As you advance further into LEGO Fortnite Odyssey NINJAGO: Rise of the Ninja, you’ll be able to unlock and purchase new Spinjitzu Scrolls. Those new items grant you new elemental abilities: the Ice Spinjitzu Scroll, for instance. This ability is strong against Fire, so it’s great to equip when you’re up against fiery foes.  Fire, so it’s great to equip when you’re up against a fiery foe.

    New Ninjago Resources in Fortnite!

To save the island, you’ll of course need resources that’ll be helpful when you’re up against assailants and vicious Ninja Betrayers. LEGO Fortnite Odyssey NINJAGO: Rise of the Ninja brings brand new Ninja Resources to the resource table. Let’s have a look:

Bamboo is a whole new resource that’s available on Ninjago Island. It resembles regular Wood to some extent, but Bamboo is a type of Wood used specifically to craft Ninja Weapons, and it’s scattered all over Ninjago Island. So better sharpen your Ninja sight.

Kozustone is a new type of Stone introduced on Ninjago Island, and you’ll use it to create new items. And the Dragon Opal Gem allows you to create Ninja Weapons after you refine it into Honed Dragon Opal at a Honing Altar.

Ink is another resource you’ll need to create Ninja Scrolls, and you’ll find it at Shrines throughout Ninja Island. This resource comes in elemental varieties, including Earth Ink, Ice Ink, and Lightning Ink.

Ritual Oil is widely used by Ninjas for many purposes. You’ll collect Ritual Oil when you defeat tough enemies and use it to refine ninja resources at a Ritual Altar. For example, you can combine Bamboo and Ritual Oil to create Honed Bamboo.

Elemental Energy lets you craft Elemental Weapons, imbued with powers like Fire. Defeat Elemental Creatures like the cold-hearted Ice Betrayer Master Ninja to collect Elemental Energy.

    Any new NINJAGO Weapons?

You guessed it! And it's not just one, but TWO new available weapons. Remember the weapon we highlighted at the beginning of the article? Nunchucks, of course! Aside from those being new, Shurikens are also available.

As you know, Nunchucks are Ninja’s best friend in combat, and LEGO Fortnite Odyssey NINJAGO: Rise of the Ninja puts them in your hands from the very beginning of the game. These powerful, two-handed weapons unlock a new world of moves for your character, including a regular attack and an alternate attack, depending on which button you press.

Shuriken are razor-sharp throwing stars, perfect for aiming at your enemies and chipping away at their health from a distance. Like nunchucks, they’re two-handed weapons, and your aim is true no matter which fist you’re tossing from.

Iconic Ninjago Island Locations in Fortnite

Players of the new Ninjago update in LEGO Fortnite will get the opportunity to walk around some of the iconic locations they know from the TV series.

LEGO Fortnite Odyssey NINJAGO: Rise of the Ninja begins at what you can think of as your home base: the Monastery of Spinjitzu. If you’ve played LEGO Fortnite Odyssey before, you can think of it as a pre-built Village. You can even upgrade it just like a Village!

There are many new and interesting locations to discover as you explore Ninjago Island. At a Combat Anomaly and a Time Anomaly, you’ll find assembled enemies, targets to hit, and treasure to be collected. You can also discover Shrines that contain the ancient Ink that you can use to create Scrolls at a Ninja Workbench.

    Ninjago Island Friends and Enemies

Throughout Ninjago Island, you’ll also find many characters from the NINJAGO universe, including Jedd, Niall, Brutal Debbie, Nightstryk, Shohei, Wylie, Zane, Lloyd, Cole, Jay, and Seliel. But the island is also teeming with new and dangerous foes – even ninja friends who’ve now turned into Ninja Betrayers.

Some of them will be familiar to players of LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. Cryo Rollers, for instance, are crab-like enemies who only appear at night on Ninjago Island. You’ll find a Geo Wolf only in clear and cloudy weather. You also need to be on the lookout for a fiery new enemy: the Fire Dragon! Defeat this enemy, and you’ll find yourself collecting Dragon Scales.

As you’ll soon discover, these mysterious enemies are emerging into Ninjago Island through Portals. Unearthing the secret to these portals might just be the path to bringing peace back to the lands.

    Ninjago Stations

The Honing Altar Station lets you take raw resources and refine them into Honed Bamboo, Honed Kozustone, and Honed Steel. Then you can use those Honed versions to craft at the Ninja Workbench.

The Ninja Workbench is a new Station that’s a lot like a specialized version of the Crafting Bench. At the Ninja Workbench, you can craft Ninja Weapons, Scrolls, Relics, Charms, and Totems.

Relics deserve special attention in Ninjago Island, because so many of them are available to craft at the Ninja Workbench. When crafting a weapon, you can add a Relic, and each Relic provides something extra. Matching a Relic Elemental attribute to an enemy will give you significant advantages. The rarer the Relic, the more powerful it is.

A Power Relic increases your attack power against all enemies. A Fire Relic is strong against Earth. An Earth Relic is strong against Lightning. A Lightning Relic is strong against Ice. Cryokenesis Relics, Electrokenesis Relics, and Geokinesis Relics all have their Elemental attack powers, coupled with a special movement. A Power Surge Relic allows you to charge up your weapon and surge forward with your attacks. A Tecto-Tunneling Relic will enable you to tunnel into the ground and then attack from underground, exploding while you surface.

    Ninja Mastery

In the Player Menu, you’ll find a tab called Mastery, and there are three icons inside of it: Ninjago, Heroes, and Odyssey.

In the Ninjago tab, you’ll find four categories: Ninja Masteries, Ice Masteries, Lightning Masteries, and Earth Masteries. Inside each, you’ll discover Recipes for Scrolls, Relics, and passive improvements like Health Charms and the Steel Mining ability. To unlock those items, you’ll need to spend Essence, which you get from performing actions like defeating enemies.

In the Heroes Mastery tab, you’ll find three options: Rift Ripper, Shadow Caller, and The Hunter. Each of those has weapons and Ability Equipment to unlock. For example, in Rift Ripper, you can unlock the Shard Slinger weapon, which allows you to throw Rift Shards at your enemies, and the Warp Rider Ability Equipment, which gives your Rift Jump more height. The third icon in the Mastery menu, Odyssey, will be available soon.

So, there you have it. Everything you need to know about LEGO Fortnite Odyssey NINJAGO: Rise of the Ninja. Now, all there’s left to do is to go save Ninjago Island!
