The Joker™, crazed clown and Batman's number one enemy
The Joker™ gets a big laugh from killing, torturing and terrorizing the good people of Gotham City. The character first appeared in the debut edition of DC Comic’s Batman™, in 1940, and has been Batman’s number one adversary ever since.
His twisted, sadistic sense of humor is matched by his creepy clown appearance. With white skin, green hair and bright red lips resulting from a fall into a tank of chemical waste – it is believed it was his disfigurement that drove him insane.
The Joker has no superpowers, just an obsessive need to wreak havoc and an extensive expertise in chemical engineering. He combines both these aspects of his personality by developing lethal chemical compounds. If not poisoning, the Joker takes great pleasure in clown-related weapons, such as deadly hand buzzers and playing cards with razor edges.
With countless television and movie appearances, on top of his extensive back catalog of books and comics, the Joker has become one of the most iconic characters in modern culture. As such, the character features in many action figure toys and LEGO® playsets.
