Matching tires, rims and connectors

If you’re buying pieces to build something with wheels, it’s important to make sure your rims and tires will fit together. 
 
Here’s a handy guide showing which connectors, rims and tires go together. You can look up any piece by its number on  Pick a Brick.  Some pieces may go out of stock at times, but there are plenty of other options to try. 

Each wheel needs to be connected to the body of a set with the right parts. This ensures that the wheel moves freely and can also support the movement of the attached build. 

Below are some examples of compatible wheels and tires for each connector type: 

Mini Snap

 

 

The wheels are only compatible with the tires in the same row. 

Half Snap

The wheels are only compatible with the tires in the same row. 

Snap

The wheels are only compatible with the tires in the same row. 

Triple Snap

These parts must be used together! 

      

The wheels are only compatible with the tires in the same row. 

Axle

 

Axles can be attached to builds with a brick like 31493: 

    

With a fixed attachment like this, a wheel with a hole for a snap should be used, so that the wheel can move. The wheel can then be secured by a piece like 42136: 

  

Otherwise, axles can move freely through a hole meant for a snap, like 28809:
