Every LEGO® Star Wars™ Minifigure-Scale Millennium Falcon and How to Display Them

Strap in for lightspeed as we see how the iconic LEGO® Star WarsMillennium Falcon has evolved.

“She may not look like much, but she’s got it where it counts.” No matter the trouble Han Solo and Chewbacca found themselves in, they could rely on the Millennium Falcon to get them to safety. That is, as long as its maintenance was up to date!

Many brick-built versions of this classic vessel have been released over the years, ensuring it remains reliably available for new collectors. Here, we check out its seven minifigure-scale models with full interiors to show how their designs have changed…

2000: Millennium Falcon™ (7190)

Despite the vehicle’s status, it was not until the second year of LEGO Star Wars that we saw our first Millennium Falcon, at the start of a new millennium! The original version owed much to previous LEGO Space sets, given its characteristic rounded hull was constructed using dome elements developed for alien spacecraft in the UFO range.

This model therefore stands apart on the outside, but its interior feels familiar. The ramp and printed dejarik table are mainstays of Millennium Falcon models, and an unrivalled array of Original Trilogy heroes is supplied, with Han Solo, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, C-3PO and R2-D2.

In fact, this was Chewbacca and Princess Leia’s minifigure debut, so the set holds an important place in LEGO Star Wars history.

2004: Millennium Falcon™ (4504)

Reflecting advances across the LEGO Star Wars theme, the second Millennium Falcon took a huge leap forward. Gone were the UFO panels, replaced with an ingenious petal-like structure. The shape was therefore closer to the on-screen vehicle and continues to influence modern Millennium Falcon sets.

Similarly, this set shows how the Millennium Falcon can be adapted for different films, as its minifigures and interior match The Empire Strikes Back™. Han Solo, Chewbacca, Leia and C-3PO are along for the ride, with a Snowtrooper chasing. However, the main threat to those on board is probably the hyperdrive! After all, it is notoriously unreliable during The Empire Strikes Back, so this model contains a detailed hyperdrive…

2011: Millennium Falcon™ (7965)

The 2004 Millennium Falcon (4504) provided an excellent basis for its successor, introduced in 2011. LEGO designers focused on strengthening the fuselage and updated the interior, adding a smuggling compartment with room for a minifigure.

Refining the freighter’s shape was another priority, particularly around the cockpit. A new conical piece was created for the previous Millennium Falcon and returned here. This set a trend and even the vast Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon (75192) uses similar pieces for its cockpit, albeit enlarged.

2015: Millennium Falcon™ (75105)

The Millennium Falcon soared back onto screens in Star Wars: The Force Awakens™, and a new LEGO design arrived, too. Having lost its original rectenna dish at the Battle of Endor, this Millennium Falcon features a rectangular dish. Also, the model is encrusted with dark tan pieces to represent the sands of Jakku, where the Falcon was rusting until Rey, Finn and BB-8 agreed that the garbage will do to escape the First Order!

The three new heroes are included, alongside returning favorites Han Solo and Chewbacca. Finn and Han received particular attention when this set was released because their minifigures were exclusive to this Millennium Falcon.

2018: Kessel Run Millennium Falcon™ (75212)

In contrast with its equivalent from 2015, this version of the Millennium Falcon is based on Solo: A Star Wars Story™, when the vehicle was still owned by Lando Calrissian. The blue and white livery is unique and this vehicle includes an escape pod, docked between its mandibles.

Although cosmetic differences between this Millennium Falcon and its predecessor are clear, their fundamental designs are quite similar. The strong Technic™ frame underneath maximizes room for interior detail, where Lando, Han, Chewbacca and Qi’ra can sit. Ahh, comfy!

2019: Millennium Falcon™ (75257)

Lando returned to the Millennium Falcon’s helm in The Rise of Skywalker™, joined in this set by Finn, Chewbacca, the droids and Resistance agent Boolio. Minifigures were not the only changes, though, as this version of the Falcon introduced a new panel system, minimizing gaps in the hull.

The set was released in 2019 and remains available on LEGO.com today. Not only does this Millennium Falcon match its appearance in The Rise of Skywalker, but installing the classic circular dish means it can double as an Original Trilogy vessel. Win, win!

2024: The Dark Falcon (75389)

Based on a sinister reimagining of the transport featured in the LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy™ Disney+ special, this Millennium Falcon embraces the dark side, shrouded in black armor and outfitted with a Death Star-style superlaser!

Evil minifigures are supplied to match, including Darth Jar Jar, Darth Rey and C-3PO as a malevolent bounty hunter! Gulp…

There we have it! All seven minifigure-scale LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon sets. Out of all these designs, which one will fly into your collection next?
