We have not one, but two suggestions for you! The first is through the SMART Assist app, which we designed to help give parents an overview of their SMART Play™ system, allowing kids to focus on the play. You can get information on your various SMART Play elements, control software updates, and find troubleshooting tips for specific problems.
Alternatively, you can contact us via our excellent (if we do say so ourselves) Help section on our website. There, you can search for help topics related to ‘SMART Play’ and find all the answers you’ll need. You can also find our contact details in case you need to get in touch with us directly.
At the most basic level, SMART Play™ sets are just like any other LEGO® set. Meaning you simply build it and play with it as normal! But to reveal the full potential of the LEGO SMART Play system, there are up to 3 elements that work together: the SMART Brick, SMART Tags and SMART Minifigures. You can only find a SMART Brick inside one of our SMART Play All-In-One sets. Our All-In-One sets have everything you need to get started with the SMART Play system.
Short answer: nope.
When developing the SMART Play™ system, we made the conscious decision to exclude screens. This helped us stay true to the classic LEGO® System in Play and let kids maintain imaginative control. We have, however, created a SMART Play app for parents called the LEGO SMART Assist app.
Here, you can manage SMART Bricks, including volume control, troubleshoot issues, and perform future software updates to make the SMART Bricks even better. (It is a high-tech platform, after all!)
The LEGO SMART Assist app also guides parents through the SMART Play experience to help your family get the most out of this evolution to the LEGO System in Play.
