Here’s how you can build (and buy!) the chonkiest, most adorable LEGO® baby animals ever

You will love it because it’s so quick to build. Your kids will love it because, well...  it's a baby unicorn.

Is there a wrong way to build a unicorn? Heck no. You could build your own version with pretty much whatever bricks you have at home – all you really need is to add a pointy brick to act as a magic horn. (That’s mandatory according to unicorn law; seriously, ask your kid.)

As you can see in this example, when you’re building a baby pet, the key to cranking up the cute is... chonk. Chonky legs. Chonky body. Chonky tail. Big eyes, if you’ve got them lying around. No eye pieces? No problem. A small dark brick will do.

Now look at this baby puppy

Now, this is a pet dog variation that parents will no doubt appreciate: it doesn’t ask to go outside in the rain or steal your socks. Stealing your kid’s heart is fair game, though.

Same baby bestie playbook applies here: chonk first, details second. Start with a small, chunky little body. Keep the legs short enough so that the puppy looks like it’s still figuring out how legs work. Add a slightly-too-big head (proportions, shmroportions!) and two ears: floppy, pointy, one-floppy-one-pointy... kids’ choice. Finish off your mini build with a tail, big eyes, a snout – and ta-dah, you’re done! Baby puppy in the house.

... and finally, meet baby Heihei

Straight out of Disney’s Moana, this little sidekick is fun, colorful, and looks like he’s just been called a chicken for the first time in his life (Heihei is a bantam rooster, thank you very much!).

Because baby Heihei is the tiny version of real(!) Heihei, this build is a little more specific than the other two.
