    Meet the LEGO® Minecraft® Characters!

LEGO® bricks and Minecraft® have one thing in common – they both involve building! So, it only makes sense to combine the two. With LEGO Minecraft sets, kids can construct and play with iconic Minecraft building blocks, items and characters from the virtual game – but in real life. Who exactly are the LEGO Minecraft characters? Read our LEGO Minecraft Character Guide to understand who’s who in the Minecraft universe and level up with LEGO Minecraft sets…

    Steve

Navigating the world of LEGO Minecraft can be tricky, but one key name to remember is Steve. Steve is the main protagonist in LEGO Minecraft (alongside Alex) and is loved by Minecraft fans! He is a tough explorer, capable of carrying heavy loads of gear. From desert expeditions to fending off air attacks at The Mooshroom House, Steve is a brave adventurer who faces any challenge head-on. He’s the perfect companion to take on LEGO Minecraft missions – and he loves mining, which helps. Like all the other characters, Steve is blocky in appearance and famously wears a light blue T-shirt.

    Alex

Alex is another main character in LEGO Minecraft. She’s a daredevil explorer who seeks adventure and loves to hunt. From battling mobs* through lava to stocking up on weapons in The Armory, Alex is a free spirit with bright orange hair. Highly resourceful and creative, Alex is a great character to lead your LEGO Minecraft adventures. She even has an awesome diamond sword! Together with Steve, they appear in many LEGO Minecraft sets, so kids can bring them into action at playtime…

    * Mobs in Minecraft are non-playable characters, but with LEGO Minecraft sets, kids can take control and tell their own mob stories at playtime!

    Warden

Wardens are hostile mobs who attack in LEGO Minecraft – so beware! They make lethal melee attacks, which can be very dangerous. While Wardens are blind, they can still sense players through smell, noise and touch. It’s best to avoid them, if you can… Wardens are usually found in Deep Dark caves.

    Skeleton

Undead common hostile mobs – these pale figures emerge in the dead of night and in the deep, dark depths of the caves. Armed with a bow, they shoot arrows at their victims. If you listen closely… the sound of their dry rattling bones and their bow’s twang will warn you of their presence – hopefully before it’s too late. They have a far keener mind than a zombie: their arrows are accurate, but they will dodge and retreat if they’re attacked. Fortunately, they burn in daylight. But still, best keep watch!

    Drowned

These zombies lurk in the murky bottoms of oceans, rivers and swamps… Appropriately named ‘drowned’, they’re sometimes armed with a trident to throw at their enemies. By day, they only move to attack swimming adventurers, but by night, they’ll attack anyone who dares to venture close to the water, whether in boat, or even on the shore! Before returning to the depths, they call home…

    Enderman

Endermen are neutral mobs in LEGO Minecraft. This means they won’t attack unless provoked, so be careful not to look them directly in the eye and never attack first. They are tall creatures with purple eyes and can magically teleport across all three dimensions. You might find them retaliating against the Ender Dragon on the End Ship or minding their own business while carrying blocks.

    Creeper™

These weird-looking, hostile mobs are known for their explosive outbursts – quite literally! Creepers™ are quiet characters that spawn in dark places and can explode at random times, causing damage to the player. When you’re hunting for crystals in LEGO Minecraft, keep clear of Creepers if you can, and be ready to fight them off…

    Pig

Just like the video game, LEGO Minecraft is full of adorable animals. Pigs are a passive mob, mostly found in grassy biomes, and they can be ridden by players when given a saddle. You can also turn them into tasty pork chops! Keep an eye out, though – if they get struck by lightning, pigs turn into zombified piglins. These piglins attack with golden swords if provoked.

    Ghast

Ghasts are large, ghost-like creatures that float around the Nether (one of the three Minecraft dimensions). Watch out, because they shoot fiery discs from their mouths! These hostile mobs attack if they get a clear shot, so be on your guard if you find yourself in a Nether Portal ambush. Their high-pitched cry is a signal that you need to defend yourself!

    Camel

Camels are peaceful animals in the LEGO Minecraft universe. They tend to wander the desert happily but will flee if they come under attack. Two players can ride a camel, and their tall stature offers protection from enemies below. Whether they’re carrying pirates through the desert biome or eating a cactus to heal, kids can create exciting desert adventures with camels in LEGO Minecraft sets…

    Zombie

Be cautious at night, because that’s when zombies come out. These hostile green mobs can spawn in packs, and hunt down players or villagers. When exposed to direct sunlight, they’ll burn! You might find them attacking in swamps, so watch out for them in our swamp-based LEGO Minecraft sets!

    Frog

Frogs are small, friendly creatures in LEGO Minecraft, commonly found in swamps. They are fast swimmers and can roam on land, too. These green, passive mobs emit Froglight, a special light source that players can use. Frogs enjoy jumping on lily pads or can be found eating slime at The Frog House.

Now that you’ve met most of the LEGO Minecraft characters, it’s time to take these gaming icons off the screen and into playtime! Want to know even more? Read our LEGO Minecraft Parents Guide!
