The More You Play, The More You Grow with KingKing!

KingKing is the mother of a two-year-old, who, like most toddler parents, is constantly looking for ways to keep her daughter entertained. That’s why she loves adding LEGO® DUPLO® sets to their playtime routine. With so many ways to build, rebuild and create imaginative new stories, they keep her and her toddler playing, learning and growing – and away from screens. Building together also helps them bond in fun and unique ways. Her advice to other toddler parents – “live in the moment wholeheartedly, cry when it’s time to cry, and laugh when it’s time to laugh.”

For KingKing, keeping her toddler engaged and playing is all about planning ahead, thinking up fun new activities in advance so she’s always one step ahead. This also helps her flex her creativity – a skill all toddler parents need! Here are a few to keep in mind for next time:

    Color Hunt

Use the different colored bricks in the LEGO DUPLO Deluxe Brick Box as a guide for your toddler to find the same colors around your house. They’re not just playing a game, they’re practicing matching and sorting – all while you both build a stronger relationship.

    Train Obstacle Course

Create an obstacle course using the number bricks in the LEGO DUPLO Number Train – Learn to Count set, and then have your toddler try to navigate it. A great way for them to practice problem solving, and a great way for you to practice managing emotions.

    Nature Search

The LEGO DUPLO 3in1 Tree House set can be used to introduce toddlers to all the nature just outside their window. Then take them over to the window and have them describe all the trees, plants and wildlife they see.
