The City Tower: A Whole City in One LEGO® Building

When it comes to building a city, kids know what they want and it’s – action! All of it. We’re talking high-speed car chases, towering buildings, a reliable train system and skate parks. They want surprises, because, after all, anything can happen in the big city.

In our new LEGO® City set, The City Tower, all of this (and more) is possible. Set amongst a tower block, home to the Brickle family, this unique build brings the hit TV show LEGO City No Limits to life. But you don’t have to be a viewer to enjoy what this fun-filled set has to offer. There really are no limits…

    An ode to LEGO® City

Inspired by everyday events and real-life heroes, LEGO City is a beloved franchise that encourages imaginative storytelling and action-packed role play through brick-built towns and city scenarios.

This set is particularly special because for the first time, it encompasses all aspects of LEGO City, bringing together trains, cranes, emergency services, civilian life and space into one epic build. This opens unlimited possibilities for play. Here, kids can be a construction worker by day and an astronaut by night – and what’s cooler than that?

    Head downtown

So, what’s inside the city? Standing at over 19 inches (49 cm) high, the LEGO City: The City Tower set is packed with detail and just like any big city, there’s a lot going on. The main building is a three-story tower block sitting above a metro tunnel, complete with a spaceship launch pad and two garages on either side.

Open the garage doors to reveal a police car and fire vehicle, on hand to keep the city safe from crime and raging flames. Role-play heroic scenes with LEGO accessories like fire elements, handcuffs (that can be stored nice and safely within the police car compartment), a water pistol for the fire vehicle, plus space for extra ammo.

To get commuters around town, hop aboard the classic metro train. This smart-looking train can seat 4 minifigures with additional standing space for modern city dwellers.

In terms of the set’s interactivity, head to the construction site. You can operate the rotating crane to carry a load of bricks up to the flats – or drop toy debris down the construction chute. Sit a minifigure inside the operating box to control the crane, and after a hard day on site, put their feet up at their fully furnished tower apartment next door.

    Space for more!

It wouldn’t be a tribute to LEGO City without a reference to Space (one of the earliest themes to be introduced by the LEGO Group). Blast off for intergalactic adventures with a slick spaceship that stays true to the classic style of LEGO Space sets. Place the spaceship on the rotating platform on the roof, so it looks like it’s about to take off.

Love an adrenaline rush? Jump out the bedroom window and straight onto the huge skate ramp to perform stunts, a nod to the LEGO City Stuntz line – or play video games in the bedroom in the company of a pet snake.

Speaking of pets, what’s a city without vibrant wildlife? Two new pigeon elements have been introduced especially for this set, along with many other cool details that we’ll let you unpack yourself.

This action-packed build has been designed to be modular, which means it’s just as fun to build in small groups with everyone getting to work on different sections. Better yet, keep the town growing with exciting add-ons like LEGO City Road Plates (60304), LEGO City Emergency Ambulance (60451), LEGO City Space Science Lab (60439) and also the LEGO City Train Tracks (60205) and LEGO City Train Switch Tracks (60238) which can connect to the tracks included in this set.

    Meet the city Citizens

Every city needs civilians. This set comes with 7 minifigures equipped with adorable props, so you can help bring their stories to life.

If you’ve watched LEGO City No Limits, you’ll recognize Just Jason, the protagonist of the show, as well as his gutsy sister Drea. For the first time in a LEGO set, we’ve also introduced his determined grandma (a retired police officer who still likes to dabble in the trade), his friendly dad, who works in construction, and his inspirational mom, who comes kitted out in a spacesuit for her job at the space station.

The Brickle family live in the main tower across three separate floors. Turn the build backwards to access the detailed interior, where you’ll find modular furniture and character accessories that you can re-arrange to your liking. The tower is 17.5 inches (44 cm) deep, giving you plenty of space to play out their busy city lifestyles.

The final two minifigures in the set include a train driver and brave firefighter (with its own water shooter prop). Your kid can have so much fun dreaming up their own LEGO City – full of adventure with these eclectic characters, in a city where you should expect the unexpected. Dun dun dunnnnnn!

So, if your kid is longing to build a big city where all kinds of cool, quirky things happen every day, look no further! This one is rooted in 19 years of LEGO City history but it’s always moving and evolving, making the LEGO City: The City Tower set a collectible just as much as it is a playset. If only spaceships and city life could live side by side in real life, too.
