    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    • What is Brickism?

Cubism had cubes. Surrealism had bathtubs with hats. Brickism has LEGO® bricks. It’s what happens when you (yes, you) use the power of the brick and all its shapes, colors and combinations to create staggering displays of creativity that make the world go ‘wow.’ Brickist art is always fun, always exciting and always evolving. Also, anyone can be a Brickist. There are no mistakes in Brickism, only happy accidents. All Brickism needs now is you #brickism

    • What is modern art?

When people talk about modern art, they usually refer to a bunch of artistic movements, styles and practices that started in the late 19th century, which rejected the rules of art up until then. Modern artists are always trying new techniques, styles and ideas. Modern art is a big umbrella term, but if a piece of art looks like it’s trying to capture emotions and raw feeling rather than going for realism, we’d say it counts as modern art. And that’s where the LEGO® Art Modern Art set comes in.

    • How many times can I rebuild the Modern Art set?

Technically, as many as you want. In reality, a bazillion. Any more than that and clocks begin to melt.

    • Can I display the Modern Art set on my wall?

We hope you do. We love to see you show off your creativity, and we’ve included a hanger element with every set for you to do just that. But don’t feel like you have to limit yourself to walls. Place it on your door, shelf, ceiling, floor (careful with those bare feet) or any liminal space between states of being that you may have laying around.

    • Where can I find inspiration for Modern Art?

Modern art draws on the same sources of inspiration as all other forms of art: love, beauty, nature, history and all that jazz. (Also, jazz.) You can find inspiration basically anywhere – the glass on your desk, the dream you had last night or a really funny laugh you heard on the way home. All it takes is one spark, and wham! Your creativity is on fire.
