Why do I have to download the LEGO® SMART Assist app?

You don’t need to use the LEGO® SMART Assist app to play with the SMART Brick – it's just there so you can set your preferences, update the brick and find help if something isn't working.

Here are some of the things you can do with the LEGO SMART Assist app:

• Connect your SMART Brick to your device
• See quick guides and troubleshooting tips
• Change the SMART Brick's sound volume
• Check the SMART Brick's battery level
• Update the SMART Brick – sometimes updates are just small fixes, but they can include new features too!
• If you have a LEGO account, you can register your SMART Brick.
