DUPLO® train locomotives

If you’re having some trouble with your DUPLO® train, there are a few things you can try to get it up and running again.

  1. Add new alkaline batteries. Mixing different brands, using a combination of old and new or using rechargeable batteries is not recommended.
  2. Check whether the batteries are connecting well with the metal contacts in the battery compartment. They should be clean and fit tightly around the batteries.
  3. Put the train on the tracks and press the start button:
If the train makes a starting sound, blows its horn and starts running, it’s working fine.
If the train only runs for a little bit, the front wheels may be blocked. Try cleaning out any dirt from the front wheels.

To make our DUPLO train as safe as possible for our smallest builders, it’s completely sealed and can’t be opened up for repair. However, if the steps above don’t solve the problem, please get in touch with us and we’ll help you find a solution.
