    Building with LEGO® and DUPLO® bricks


    DUPLO® and LEGO® bricks are compatible, so you can build with them together on your next project. Here’s how they fit:
    • DUPLO bricks fit best with larger LEGO bricks. Only LEGO pieces with an even number of studs are compatible with DUPLO pieces. For example, a 2x2 or 2x4 brick will fit, but a 1x2 or 2x3 brick won’t.
    • LEGO bricks fit on DUPLO bricks when the DUPLO bricks have hollow studs on top.
    • DUPLO figures aren't compatible with LEGO bricks, and LEGO minifigures won’t fit on DUPLO bricks either. They can still be part of the fun--just keep them on their own bricks!
