BrickLink® Designer Program payment methods
When will I be charged for my BrickLink® Designer Program set?
- You’ll only be charged if the set you pre-ordered is successfully crowdfunded (receives at least 3,000 pre-orders).
- Your payment is usually processed about 5-8 months (based on geographic location) after you pre-order, when we start getting your order ready to be shipped.

Credit card
If you decide to pay by credit card, please choose a card with an expiration date that’s after the expected ship date. Using a card that will be valid for more than 6 months will allow your order to ship successfully once the set is available.
PayPal
If your PayPal payment is declined, call our Customer Service team so we can try to re-authorize it. We can also update your payment to a credit or debit card if it gets declined again.
Moved? Entered an incorrect address? Want to add more items to your order? You'll need to call Customer Service to change your payment from PayPal to a credit card. Once we’ve updated your order with your credit card info, we’ll be able to change the shipping address or add more items, if stock is available.
I have a pending charge from when I placed my BDP order
When you place an order, your payment provider will put a temporary hold on your account for the amount needed to pay for your order. This temporary hold of funds is called a payment authorization and can last from a few days up to one month depending on your payment provider. My payment was declined

I need to update the card I used for payment
For security reasons, we never store or save credit or debit card details. We'll need to update your info using one of our secure options:
- Call us. We can safely update your payment details over the phone.
- Request a Pay-by-Link email. We can email you a secure payment link that will let you update the payment online.
