Welcome to the grand opening of LEGO® Icons The Simpsons™: Krusty Burger

Welcome to the grand opening of LEGO® Icons The Simpsons™: Krusty Burger

Ever since it was introduced way back in the second season of The Simpsons™, Krusty Burger has been the go-to spot for burgers, fries and – for a limited time only – the Ribwich (now without lettuce).

Now, as we prepare to cut the ribbon on the LEGO® Icons The Simpsons: Krusty Burger set, we thought we’d give you a full look inside and out.

So, put on your baggy pants as we take a full tour of the latest LEGO The Simpsons set.

Welcome to Krusty Burger – we’ll take your order now

When you cruise towards the new LEGO Icons The Simpsons: Krusty Burger set, the first thing you’ll see is the giant sign featuring the famous face of the founder, Krusty the Clown.

Now comes your first choice: dine in the restaurant or swing through the drive-through?

If you opt for the drive-through (perhaps in the included car), you’ll drive right past the ‘Meat-like By-product Delivery Entrance,’ up to the window where you can view the menu and place your order.

The car is just like Homer’s famous decorated pink car in the episode ‘Homie the Clown’ where he went to Krusty’s Clown College and became an official Krusty impersonator.

The side of the restaurant also has windows and bushes, alongside some familiar advertisements and graffiti.

There’s also a grease trap filled with ‘yellow gold’ as Homer called it in the episode ‘Lard of the Dance,’ and a shovel for filling up the trunk of the car.

Prefer to dine in? Then step through the main entrance and into the restaurant featuring two tables and chairs, a booth with a table, and a Krusty’s Kidz Zone ball pit for keeping the little ones busy.

When you’re ready to place your order, step up to the counter and select from a range of delicious and famously unhealthy food on the overhead menu.

There’s a fully stocked bathroom with a toilet, sink, broken mirror, hand dryer and puddle of water on the tiled floor.

Behind the scenes, there’s a kitchen featuring a food prep stand, a broken soft-serve ice cream machine, a deep fryer with removable basket (more yellow gold), a Buzz Cola machine, a microwave and an overhead order-up display.

To help you get closer to the action, the restaurant front opens and the roof is removable to give you an even closer look inside and plenty of options for play or display.

Served with a side order of seven minifigures

You’ll be joined at the new LEGO Icons The Simpsons: Krusty Burger set by seven minifigures.

Homer comes complete with his homemade clown car, Lisa has brought her sax to blast out a little mood music, while Bart can fight it out with his longtime nemesis, Sideshow Bob.

It’s the first time Sideshow Bob has been featured as a minifigure, shown here holding a pie. Luckily, Bart has a slingshot to help keep Krusty’s malicious former sidekick at bay.

Bart will also be kept safe by Officer Lou, another brand-new minifigure, who keeps watch with a cup of coffee. To serve you or mop up that spill in the bathroom, it’s Springfield’s most famous awkward teenager, Squeaky-Voiced Teen (another first) wearing a hat and holding a mop.

Finally, our host and everyone’s favorite entertainer, entrepreneur and one-time congressman, Krusty the Clown, appears dressed in his farmer outfit as he did when he advertised the stomach-churning Mother Nature Burger.

Officially the unhealthiest restaurant in the world

Hey hey! Thank you for dining at Krusty Burger! We hope you enjoyed your visit to the LEGO Icons The Simpsons: Krusty Burger set.

This new set will make a perfect gift for a fan of The Simpsons or for someone building on the collection they started with the LEGO The Simpsons House or LEGO The Simpsons The Kwik-E-Mart.
