Relive iconic Fast & Furious scenes with these new LEGO® Technic™ sets

High-octane thrills? Improbable stunts? An almost endless array of souped-up dream cars? We can only be talking about Fast & Furious.

For over 20 years, this street-racing, money-heisting, fugitive-capturing franchise has wowed audiences around the world. The cars that Dom Toretto and his crew use throughout the ten films (and counting) have also made some pretty awesome LEGO® sets.

Maybe you’re looking for your next great car display, or perhaps you’re after a set to share with your car-loving kids. Whatever you’re after, we’ll help you find your next set faster than Dom Toretto’s 1970 Dodge Charger R/T covers a quarter of a mile (IYKYK).

Plus, we’ve got a special inside look at a brand-new LEGO Technic™ Fast & Furious short film that recreates several epic stunts from the original movies using LEGO Technic cars. It’s an exhilarating short that expertly captures all the thrills of the real movies, and watching it with your kids is the perfect way to get them excited about the films and the sets.

So, buckle up and let’s hit the road!

The perfect set for your beginner builders…

Waaaaay back in the very first The Fast and the Furious film, Brian O’Conner (still then undercover) rocked up to Dom’s garage with a bright orange Toyota Supra MK4. But the car was in (shall we say) a bit of a state and had to be rebuilt entirely.

Now, you and your kids can build your own version with the superb Supra set, which includes a 6-cylinder engine, steering, an opening hood and a removable Targa top roof. You can walk them through every step, teaching them how a car comes together and firing up their passion for all things automotive.

When the basic build is completed, you can strap the two NOS bottles in the trunk, exactly like those in the thrilling scenes of the first Fast & Furious film.

The set makes a perfect gift for kids who already love Fast & Furious cars, but it’s also a great intro for kids who haven’t experienced the thrill yet.

… And a bigger one for the more experienced

In the sequel, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Brian drives to Miami to start a new life and arrives in style in a Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34).

The same car is ready to cruise into your collection in a set that recreates the steering, front and rear suspension and an opening hood that reveals a 6-cylinder engine with moving pistons.

When you’ve built the sleek silver and blue body, you can adjust the wings or try out the first-ever LEGO Technic drift function that raises the car, so you can recreate impressive maneuvers.

When the build is completed, you can open the doors to access the driver’s seat and see the three NOS bottles, before you recreate your favorite race scenes from the Sunshine State.

    Top tips for co-building parents

Co-building a LEGO set is the perfect way to pass on your passion and get kids fully up to speed with the Fast & Furious saga. To make sure everyone enjoys the build, think about how Dom and the crew rebuild a car. Everyone has their place on the team. They’re free to develop their expertise and express their creativity. That’s what you’re aiming for. So, if in doubt… think like Dom.

As long as you obey the laws of physics, you’ll be fine

To take it one step further, we created a LEGO Technic Fast & Furious short film that brings these two new amazing cars to the road and in the air! We paired up with Dino Julius and Luka Hrgovic, who make incredible movies with detailed miniatures and love Fast & Furious, so they were the perfect filmmakers to put our new car sets through their paces (and jumps and drifts).

Watch the behind-the-scenes video where fans can see how they re-created the amazing Fast & Furious stunts in miniatures, plus an interview with Fast & Furious Picture Car Coordinator Dennis McCarthy for thrilling insights, before finally revealing the final product.

Keep your eyes peeled for Easter eggs too. There are a many of them hidden in the short film, including lines from various movies in the series, some very odd shop names in the background in Tokyo and a particularly iconic sandwich (without crusts, of course).

You make choices and don’t look back
