The LEGO Group appoints new Chief People Officer

  • Daan Ottink – van den Broek, Senior Vice President, Talent, appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer.
  • Loren I Shuster, currently Chief People Officer will transition to a new advisory role, as Group People Advisor to CEO Niels B Christiansen.

BILLUND, DENMARK, 4 FEBRUARY 2026: The LEGO Group today announced that Daan Ottink – van den Broek, Senior Vice President, Talent will become Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief People Officer effective April 1, 2026.

She will take over from current EVP and Chief People Officer, Loren I Shuster who will become Group People Advisor to CEO Niels B Christiansen working on selected strategic activities outside of the LEGO Group.

Daan Ottink - van den Broek joined the LEGO Group in 2025 from Unilever where she was Chief Human Resources Officer of its Global Personal Care Business Group and Global Functions. During her 27-year career at Unilever, she had human resources responsibility across a wide range of categories, functions and geographies and has lived and worked around the world.

Niels B Christiansen, CEO of the LEGO Group said: “Since joining the LEGO Group, Daan has been a passionate advocate for our culture and values. She has significant experience leading HR teams in a large global organisation. Loren I Shuster joined the LEGO Group in January 2015, as Chief Commercial Officer and became Chief People Officer in 2017. He was also Head of Corporate Affairs for four years, responsible for environmental and social responsibility, government affairs and communication.
