Carsten Rasmussen first joined the LEGO Group in 2001 and has since held a broad range of leadership roles in functions including Shopper Marketing and Channel Development, Operations, Procurement, and Organisational Capability Building in various markets.
Carsten began his carrier at the LEGO Group as Purchasing Manager and soon after took on the role as Purchasing Director. In 2006, he became General Manager of LEGO Company Supply Chain in Hong Kong, where he gained extensive experience within logistics, quality control, code of conduct, and finance. Three years later, Carsten became overall responsible for LEGO Production, which included taking on a broad range of functions within leadership and overseeing more than 3000 employees at LEGO Group production facilities in Billund and Kladno. Before taking on his current role as Chief Operations Officer, Carsten held roles as Senior Vice President of Shopper Marketing & Channel Development and Organisation Capability Building with responsibility for shopper insights and development, e-commerce, marketing, and strategy development.
As Chief Operations Officer, Carsten's responsibilities include Manufacturing, Packing, Supply Chain Planning, Distribution & Logistics, and Engineering & Quality.
