About LEGO® City

LEGO® City is our oldest theme. It’s been around since the 1970s and has had a few names since then: LEGOLAND® Town, LEGO® Town and LEGO® World City. The current LEGO® City name has been used since 2005.

Despite all the changes, the core of the theme has always been the same: to deliver amazing building and playing experiences through sets based on familiar parts of real life.

City is where you’ll find some of the most popular LEGO® sets – firefighters, police stations, construction vehicles, trains, and more all fall under City. There are also sets exploring beyond the bounds of the City, heading to far-off places like jungles, oceans, and the Arctic. There's even LEGO® City videogames!
