Playdates aren’t just for kids! Remembering the fundamentals of fun
Kids certainly know how to pick their moments for play…
First thing in the morning when you have barely opened your eyes? As you sit down for that all-important first cup of coffee? When the weekly food shop is being delivered? Just as that important work call is scheduled to begin?
We understand it’s not always easy to find ways to engage with your kids. As busy people juggling children, work or household chores, finding the time – and the energy – to play can feel like an impossible task. But carving out time to play is also crucial for your relationship with your child (and can keep you young at heart as well!).
Children are inherently creative, and given the time, space and equipment to express themselves, they can come up with the most extraordinary games. But some of those can be utterly exhausting. Like when they scrawl all over books in red pens playing ‘school’... or defrost the entire freezer as they steal the peas for their homemade maracas.
