    What is LEGO® Wicked?

Since 2003, the Wicked musical has attracted millions worldwide, performing in over 100 cities across 16 countries. Now, with a star-studded cast, Wicked has hit the big screen, and the story will continue with Wicked: For Good in November. To celebrate, the LEGO Group has launched a spectacular collection of LEGO Wicked sets, so the magic can come alive at home. You can now relive and recreate Elphaba and Glinda’s (or should that be Galinda’s?) empowering tale across the Land of Oz, from the esteemed Shiz University to the dazzling Emerald City.

Wicked tells the story of two witches of Oz – Elphaba and Glinda. Elphaba is a defiant social outcast who has yet to discover her true power. Glinda is a popular young woman (she even has a song about how popular she is) gilded by privilege and ambition who has yet to discover her true heart. Through the power of friendship, the two women forge an unlikely sisterhood of empowerment and defiance against the dark forces of prejudice and oppression.

Who is LEGO Wicked aimed at?

LEGO Wicked is aimed at 7-12-year-olds, as well as adults too. The LEGO Wicked sets are suitable for a range of age groups, from empowered teens to Wicked-obsessed fans.

Designed in a similar style to LEGO Friends sets, LEGO Wicked features minidolls instead of traditional minifigures. These minidolls bring an extra layer of charm and detail to the characters, making them perfect for imaginative play and displaying!

If you’re wondering about the age rating for the Wicked movie, it’s PG, as it contains some mild threats and discrimination. However, overall, it’s an upbeat film with reassuring outcomes and, of course, an incredible soundtrack full of bops to sing your heart out to.

What development benefits do LEGO Wicked sets offer?

Our LEGO Wicked sets enable children to dive into the spellbinding Land of Oz, reliving and recreating their favorite scenes and character moments. They take imaginative play and creativity to a whole new level. It also gives kids a chance to explore more complex themes, such as societal pressures and equality, in a playful manner. Build alongside your child and use the opportunity to talk about these themes, helping them connect the story to real-life experiences.

Why do kids love LEGO Wicked?

Not forgetting the breathtaking green and gold Emerald City, perfectly capturing the most ‘outstandiful’ place in the Land of Oz, and the cleverly designed Glinda & Elphaba's Dormitory – a buildable trunk that opens into a dollhouse-style playset.

All our LEGO Wicked sets feature a QR code that links to iconic songs from the Wicked soundtrack, including ‘Defying Gravity’. Let’s be honest – you’ll be belting them out too! Microphones at the ready!
