Q: How do pre-orders and backorders work?

Backorders We say sets or pieces are available for ‘backorder’ when they’re not currently available, but we expect them to be back in stock soon. Backordered items can be ordered and will ship when they're back in stock at our warehouse. You’ll receive an email notification when your backordered items are shipped. Do you offer free standard shipping?

Accepted Answer

Orders up to $25 have a shipping cost of $4.95.
Orders between $25.01 to $34.99 have a shipping cost of $6.95.
Orders of $35 or more ship free. Qualifying purchases must be in merchandise only. Gift cards don't apply to the merchandise total.
Pick a Brick orders may include extra fees. Check the Pick a Brick orders section below.
Gift cards always ship for free.

How long will it take to ship my order?

This info relates to orders from LEGO.com but excludes orders placed through Standard Pick a Brick service. See more info on Pick a Brick orders below.
Our standard shipping time frame is 3-5 business days. Orders to rural areas will take an additional 3 business days.

If you place your order by 12pm EST, in-stock items will ship the very next business day (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays). Items not in stock when you place your order will ship as soon as they become available. All orders are subject to review, which may affect shipping times. You’ll be sent a tracking number when your order ships.

Orders to non-continental US territories, FPOs, and APOs are shipped by the US Postal Service (USPS), don't include order tracking, and take an additional 5 business days.
Orders being sent to a P.O. Box are shipped by USPS.
Gift card orders are shipped by USPS and don't include order tracking.
In order to protect our consumers and maintain our commitment to service excellence, we don't ship to freight forwarding services.

We do our best to estimate shipping dates based on info from our carriers. If your area is experiencing severe weather, natural disasters or other unscheduled events, it may take longer for your order to arrive.

Question 4

Can I arrange a delivery to a UPS Access Point®?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but you can only select a UPS Access Point® in the same country where you place the order.

Size restrictions may also apply.
If the UPS Access Point® location can’t accept your order, your order will be delivered to the shipping address you provided during checkout.
Orders will be returned if not picked up from the UPS Access Point® within 7 days.
UPS will email you when your order is ready to be picked up and send reminder emails during the 7-day pick-up window. UPS will also send an email if the item is returned to the LEGO warehouse.
Orders that include gift cards, Pick a Brick Standard or Bestseller pieces or Minifigure Factory builds can't be shipped to a UPS Access Point® location.

How do Pick a Brick orders work?

Accepted Answer

Pick a Brick pieces fall into two categories: Bestseller and Standard. Bestsellers ship from the United States and Standard pieces ship from Denmark. Both of these orders are handpicked by our warehouse staff.

Pick a Brick shipping timeframes

Pick a Brick Bestseller pieces follow our standard shipping timeframes.
Pick a Brick Standard pieces can take up to 28 days to arrive.
Shipments to rural areas may take an additional 3 business days.

Pick a Brick service fees

Orders up to $14 include a service fee of $7.
If your order meets the minimum of $14 for each category, the service fee will be removed.
We'll include price and billing details along with your order.

How can I track my order?

To track your order, simply follow these easy steps:

Have a LEGO Account?

Log in to your account and navigate to ‘My Orders’.
Find the order you want to track and select ‘Manage my order’.
Click on ‘Track package’ or visit the carrier's tracking page for real-time updates.
You can also track your order from the shipping confirmation email sent to you after your purchase.

Don't have a LEGO Account?

Click on My Accounts.
Follow the on screen instructions.

It can take 24 hours for your tracking number to start showing updates.

What if my order includes both pre-order and backorder items?

Accepted Answer

If your order includes both pre-order or backorder items and other in-stock items, the in-stock items will ship separately. Any free or promotional items you qualify for will ship with the next available items in your order. The expected shipping dates for products on backorders or pre-orders may change based on factors such as changing arrival schedules or incoming stock availability.

How do gift orders work?

To help keep your LEGO gift a surprise, we’ll ship it in a plain, unmarked box. You can also choose a different delivery address, so the package doesn’t get spotted.

If you’ve chosen delivery to a different address, we’ll assume it’s a gift and leave out the price and billing details.

Question 10

Can I edit or cancel my order?

Accepted Answer

You’ll be able to cancel your order until its status shows as ‘In Warehouse’. You can track its delivery status from your ‘My Orders’ page.

If none of the items in your order have an ‘In Warehouse’ status yet, and you’d like to cancel it, select ‘Manage my order’. Then, click ‘Cancel Order’ and follow the remaining steps. It’s super easy!

If your order includes only pre-order or backorder items, you’ll be able to cancel it up to 5 business days before the estimated delivery date.
