Lead the Model Production Quality team who ensures quality, safety and compliance support to the solutions delivered by LEGO Model Production!
LEGO Model Production is a global team with presence across multiple locations globally and we are here to ensure our partner succeeds delivering their amazing products at the same as you will ensure they live up to the high compliance, quality and safety standards at the LEGO Group.
LEGO Model Production delivers brick-based solutions for both our LEGOLAND Parks and our LEGO Branded channels (owned stores – LEGO Brand Retail, or franchise stores LEGO Certified Stores) and third-party retailers (Walmart, Target etc.).
The LEGO Model Production offerings are a variety of glued brick-based models ranging from large out-of-scale models for LEGOLAND Parks down to in-scale glued models, used in model boxes and more recent, models for larger public events like driving replicas of real Formula 1 cars.
The Model Production Quality also provides quality and safety training to the community of LEGO Certified Professionals; a global community of model builders certified to build glued models under endorsement of the LEGO Group.
The position is based in Kladno and no relocation support will be available.
Core Responsibilities
participation in two leadership teams, Quality in Markets & Channels (direct) and LEGO Model Production (associated). Your focus will be focusing on the team leadership part of the Model Production Quality.
Ensuring the capability of the team is set to meet the future requirements coming from a competitive, agile and ever-changing business landscape going from a standardised product offering to a much more differentiated product offering using new technologies and new product platforms.
With productivity and efficiency in mind, ensuring the capacity of the team always aligns with the needs of its major partners, in due time.
Ensure seamless stakeholder management with its key collaborators, with full transparency, mutual understanding of needs and a balanced and justified decision making.
Collaborate on alignments with LMP and other quality functions in TLG where relevant. Avoiding redundancy building competencies that may be available in a better form elsewhere.
Play your part in our team succeeding
Your will be leading a team both in Kladno and in Jiaxing using your excellent people leader skills both as close and with distant leadership. This is a pivotal position, placed in the force field between consumer products and experiences; and LEGO compliance and brand protection activities, where opposing needs sometimes collide and requires a delicate and justified approach.
Do you have what it takes?
Quality management at a senior level of either with manufacturing area (process control, shop floor control, supplier quality management) or at a development area (quality assurance, compliance management)
Proven team leadership
Experience with distance management, with employees or manager placed in another location
Experience working with global companies
Strong language skills verbally and in writing in both Czech and English.
Ability to travel when needed app. 5-15 days a year.
