We’re looking for a Category Manager for Packing Equipment to join the LEGO Group either base in Billund or in Kladno. This is a 12-month fixed-term parental leave cover contract.
No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Within CAPEX & MRO Procurement, we are globally responsible for sourcing and defining the category direction across key investment and operational areas. We drive this through strong and systematic category management, supply market intelligence, supplier selection, global contracting and supplier relationship management.
In the Packing Equipment team, we support one of the key areas enabling The LEGO Group’s global manufacturing footprint. Packing Equipment plays a critical role in securing capacity, operational stability and the future automation agenda across our factories.
We are now looking for a Category Manager to cover a parental leave in the Packing Equipment team.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a global category with high relevance for factory operations and future growth. You will support sourcing activities, supplier engagement, contract management and category execution across Packing Equipment.
The area is developing rapidly, with increasing demand for scalable supplier platforms, cost transparency, automation capabilities and strong commercial foundations. This means the role is not only about supporting today’s projects, but also about contributing to the supplier ecosystem needed for the future.
You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D and Procurement, with exposure to senior stakeholders at Senior Director level and below.

Core Responsibilities:
- Development of Global Category Sourcing Plan and execution inclusive global suppliers management - End-to-End Value Chain perspective through Category Management Team(s)
- Responsible for global opportunities, sourcing and consolidation in close collaboration with key stakeholders in E&Q and Operations in general, including Global stakeholder management and KPI execution - Ensure benchmarking and continually market insight to secure we stay ahead of competition
- Strong collaboration with local teams from other procurement categories ensuring a “One Procurement” team approach to governance and compliance, especially across productionsite procurement
- Manage the contract process by acting as the single point of contact (for procurement, legal and finance) to the business stakeholders
- Supplier management securing a scalable and flexible global supply base, Conduct commercial negotiations and SRM - contracting / negotiations and performance, more over manage suppliers C-level to secure our businesses are developing in the same direction - Be a key player to secure external perspective and leverage TLG strategy
- Be accountable to all aspects of local / regional / global commercial governance including Code of Conduct, contract and PO compliance - Conduct operational performance review meetings & govern supplier relationships to foster mutual opportunities
Do you have what it takes?
- Education in Engineering or business-related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience within procurement, category management, supplier relationship management, project management and/or engineering in an international company.
- Strong procurement background within technical categories, preferably CAPEX, manufacturing equipment, automation, packing equipment, engineering services or similar complex spend areas.
- Experience managing significant spend, ideally with exposure to categories or projects above 200 mDKK spend under management or similarly complex investment scopes.
- Solid contract management experience, preferably within CAPEX, development projects, technical equipment, or project-based supplier agreements.
- Proven negotiation skills, with experience handling large, complex and/or technical supplier negotiations.
- Ability to partner with senior stakeholders, including internal stakeholders up to Senior Director level and strategic suppliers at senior management level.
- Good understanding of manufacturing equipment systems and engineering processes, with the ability to work confidently with technical stakeholders.
- International mindset and mobility, with willingness to travel approximately 15–20 days per year to suppliers, LEGO sites or key project locations.
