Welcome to LEGO® DESiGN, the LEGO Group’s very own design team. We’re the creative visionaries, builders and storytellers behind all the cool stuff you see on the shelves. While we handle various franchises and themes, we’re not your typical product makers. Our goal is to innovate new LEGO play experiences that unlock endless possibilities for meaningful play and help children develop the skills they need to thrive in a changing world.

Our team reflects the diversity of our audiences and the play experiences we craft. We welcome passionate people from various design and non-design backgrounds. Talent is essential, but a great personality is gold.
Different people, one team
Designers, architects, engineers and artists – everyone comes together at LEGO DESiGN, and we literally come from all corners of the world. Personality-wise, we are a big mix from outgoing to introverted, structured to spontaneous. But two things unite us: a collaborative spirit and boundless curiosity.

Concept & Model Design
Responsible for transforming insights and ideas into new LEGO products, designing innovative LEGO models, and delivering an outstanding LEGO portfolio.
Interaction Design
Innovates in interactive play design by bridging physical and digital elements for new LEGO product experiences and enhancing existing products already available in the market.
LEGO Building Experience Design
Committed to designing and innovating world-class building experiences for both physical and digital LEGO building instructions.
Element Design
Responsible for designing and developing new LEGO bricks and elements (e.g., building bricks, animals, wigs), focusing on the intersection of aesthetics, play and manufacturing design.
Graphic & Material Design
Specializes in creating graphics for LEGO products, including decorations, stickers, textiles and other visual assets related to LEGO products.

System in Play Innovation and Governance
Develops and implements effective guidelines, inclusive design practices, services and initiatives to refine, protect and enhance the quality of the LEGO brand across all platforms.
Virtual Asset Design
Focuses on designing 2D, 3D and animated digital elements by modeling, texturing and simplifying assets for LEGO building instructions, packaging, marketing, digital games and other digital media pipelines.

Just imagine celebrating 90 Years of Play. Then imagine setting your mind to evolving play for the next generation. How we push the boundaries of what we do next with LEGO® bricks. This is the reality for Senior Interaction Designer Micol Galeotti. It’s her job to take us forward and explore those possibilities. We think it’s fair to say she enjoys what she does.

Just imagine having a career that involves as much fun as possible. Wouldn’t that be great? Fortunately for Nicolaas Johan Bernardo Vas, he doesn’t have to. Nico has been with us for nine years. As a toy designer, fun with a capital F has always been a driving force behind his work. Now, he’s bringing that wealth of experience to his new role as an Experience Design Manager Specialist.
