Introducing the high-flying LEGO® set inspired by LEGO Masters 4!

Were you glued to your screen during season 4 of LEGO® Masters? Remember the epic winning design? Well, it’s finally time to see the real-life set that it inspired! First off, let’s remind ourselves of our winners…

Brick-enthusiasts Christopher Lee and Robert Zhang beat eleven other pairs of builders to be crowned season 4’s LEGO Masters, with their eye-catching and wonderfully wacky master build, the ‘World Wonderliner’.

Inspired by their mutual love of travel, the build featured a giant, open-topped airplane, along with a fantastical story of minifigure passengers – Christopher and Robert – who, after falling asleep en route to an exciting travel destination, pass into a wonderful world of dreams of their favorite travel memories… we told you it was wacky!

Sitting atop the airplane, these ‘dream’ locations include a Kenyan baobab tree, a traditional Chinese building and Rome’s iconic Colosseum, with each holding a special meaning and memory for the designer duo.

After winning the show, Christopher and Robert were flown to LEGO headquarters in Billund, Denmark, to adapt their build into a real-life LEGO set. And here is the result!

The set, Travel Moments (41838), features a flat, buildable world map with 20 location tiles to mark places you’ve been or want to go as a family, as well as ten photo holders for displaying treasured holiday snaps or tickets. It blends memories and dreams into one – just like Christopher and Robert’s winning master build. And of course, in an all-important nod to their design, it’s topped with a ‘World Wonderliner’ airplane!

So, what does it feel like to have your LEGO dreams turned into reality?! “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!” says Robert. Christopher agreed, adding, “I am completely serious when I say that my dreams have been fulfilled – I never in a million years would have believed that I would have been doing this”.

Congrats, guys! We can’t wait to start building our travel bucket list in LEGO bricks!
