LEGO Group CEO named Leader of the Year 2025 in Denmark

At an award ceremony in Copenhagen, Denmark on 21 November, LEGO Group CEO Niels B Christiansen was named Leader of the Year 2025, the country’s highest accolade for leadership, which was given for the 24th time.

Reflecting on the honour, Niels B Christiansen said: “Awards are often given to people at the helm, but I view this award as a recognition of the achievements and dedication of all our 31,000 fantastic LEGO® colleagues.”

The jury commended his ability to set clear direction and mobilise the organisation to achieve record growth in an environment where employees can thrive. During Niels B Christiansen’s tenure, the LEGO Group’s turnover has more than doubled and it has delighted millions of children around the world with LEGO play experiences.

With a reputation as “an analytically sharp leader who sets clear direction and executes quickly and precisely,” the jury said, “he is also a pleasant and decent person who never lets his ego get in the way of a compelling argument or the right solution."
