- January 27th, 2021Average rating3out of 5 stars3.0Very cool but not a toy!TuskenWriter | 35-44The LEGO AT-AT is a beautiful Star Wars set but it has very questionable flaws. First I want to say that the aesthetic is superb and the proportion very good especially compared to the initial AT-AT toys from the 80s. Obviously LEGO figurines are much smaller than the Star Wars figurines so it makes sense. In a way it is the first time you get the proper scale for this iconic vehicle. Plus the figurines are great. So visually it’s a 5 stars product. But there are elements that I find terrible and disappointing for LEGO standards. First it’s a very fragile design. The legs, the feet (that are smaller than the “real” ones) are not strong at all. The sides of the vehicule can break just by moving the AT-AT. There are two flat parts at the back of the inside meant to support the little speeder bike and they are not solid at all, a very weird design choice. The main “body” is quite heavy and the legs articulations just can’t really support it. I would mostly call it a style over substance problem. The structure is just weak and that’s a big design flaw. It looks great and that’s it. You can barely touch it and forget about having kids playing with it. I’m an adult and I’m just happy looking at it so it’s totally fine but LEGO should always put the play aspect and sturdiness first.Bruikbaar?35AT-AT™

AT-ATs are my particular favorite, so when I saw the AT-AT Lego set, I decided to splurge. I'm pretty new to Lego kits, and although the AT-AT looks complex when finished, it was pretty simple and fun to build! The step-by-step visual instructions were helpful. The finished build is very detailed and looks accurate to the original series AT-ATs, so it's awesome as a display piece! I like that several hatches on the AT-AT open, revealing more detail inside the build. My only complaint is that the compartment in the head is a little tight for three minifigures, so it was a challenge to get all three figures into the head without dislodging other pieces. Overall though, I'm happy with my purchase. Good value for the price, a build experience that even Lego novices can enjoy, and an awesome display piece when finished!Bouwervaring: Beginnende LEGO bouwerBruikbaar?55AT-AT™

This is a really good displace piece and the centerpiece of my lego scenery. The minifigs are so of the best in a set I have. It is a very good build and would recommend it to anybody who would ask me.Bouwervaring: Ervaren LEGO bouwerBruikbaar?55AT-AT™

The build was challenging and fun to do. It’s tall and looks like what you see on film. I also like the number of mini-figures and accessories which fit well inside, except for Luke because he dangles by the grappling hook underneath. The three figures in the cockpit fit in a little tight but the lid closes with no gaps. There are extra seats in the body to add extra mini-figs if you want. The legs are the only issue I see if you want to pose them as they tend to make the AT AT unstable. I have mine as a display and had no problem with it falling. If you are looking to get this AT AT I would suggest that you do. It is the most movie accurate and looks great when built.Bouwervaring: Gevorderde LEGO bouwerBruikbaar?55AT-AT™
