- September 1st, 2020Average rating2out of 5 stars2.0Helicopter is a non-LEGO plastic toyPurchased for: SonSpent decent money on this for my son and then hoping to use the propellers in other builds. However, the two helicopters have ZERO Lego parts/places to connect parts. They are essentially plastic toys you might find at the dollar store. The most aggressive adult tug will get these things about 2 feet in the air. So basically a tiny LEGO set with a plane, and two plastic toy helicopters that don’t really fly. Been buying legos for 20 years and as disappointed with a set as I’ve ever been.Play Experience1.0Level of Difficulty1.0Value for Money1.0Build Time: 30 minsBuilding Experience: Advanced LEGO builderWas this helpful?25Air Race
- March 23rd, 2021Average rating2out of 5 stars2.0Wonderful concept that never took off.PeteASF |Purchased for: DaughterWhen I saw these for sale during the Holidays I ordered them immediately. Fun concept to draw my younger daughter further into the world of Lego! We quickly realized that the helis will only fly without a pilot and windscreen and only with me pulling the cord as hard as I dare. A slight re-design would make these fly! Roughly 20%- 30% larger rotor, and more mass in the disk to keep it spinning would likely result in better performance. Hope to see this updated in the future. Its a great concept!Play Experience1.0Level of Difficulty1.0Value for Money3.0Build Time: 30 minsBuilding Experience: Expert LEGO builderWas this helpful?25Air Race
- March 31st, 2021Average rating1out of 5 stars1.0Doesn't fly :(RKing |Purchased for: DaughterThe set is nice enough for the price but the fact it has the specific "pull chord" and they don't fly makes me review as a 1. Pulling as hard as I can it will launch about an inch and then descend. My 7 year old has to almost lower the launcher as she pulls the chord. The plane is nice with the gates but more work on the aero on the blades required!Play Experience1.0Level of Difficulty1.0Value for Money3.0Build Time: 10 minsBuilding Experience: Expert LEGO builderWas this helpful?15Air Race
- December 27th, 2020Average rating1out of 5 stars1.0Worst Set EverCMinus |Purchased for: SonI’m only writing a review so that you won’t make the same mistake by buying this set. We have spent thousands of dollars on LEGO (3 boys aged 3, 6, and 8) and this is easily the most disappointing set. The copters don’t even come close to flying. They awkwardly spin off the launcher, and immediately fall to the floor quite forcefully. I remember similar toys as a kid that worked great. These should never have gotten out of product development and are definitely not worth $40. The airplane is cool...Play Experience1.0Level of Difficulty2.0Value for Money1.0Build Time: 40 minsBuilding Experience: Expert LEGO builderWas this helpful?15Air Race
