    Polar Bear Rescue Mission

The Build, Solve, Invent play loop is going to the Arctic!

Inside the LEGO® Education Arctic Animals Science Kit are several science-based experiments for you to get your claws into.
And claws is the operative word for our experiment today. Because we are going to be meeting (and helping…) some brick-built polar bears!
Let’s see the Build, Solve, Invent play loop in action – with the help of our fan creator Wylie Bricks!

    Step 1: Build

Use the building instructions to make a minifigure scientist, two polar bears and two ice structures.

Two ice structures that are actually quite far away from each other. Too far away, in fact, for the adult polar bear to reach her cub!

Oh no! Is that a design flaw?!

    Step 2: Solve

Of course not! (Which is lucky, otherwise someone might be getting fired…)

As with every LEGO Education set, the ‘Build, Solve, Invent’ play loop means builders build the experiment which contains the problem to be solved.

You solve the problem using the bag of bricks we provide… although we don’t provide an awful lot else…

Unlike the Build phase, there are no building instructions. Just an image to spark creativity. Which means it’s up to you and your scientific instincts to figure out a solution to the problem.

Check out what Wylie Bricks came up with!

    Step 3: Invent

Now the polar bear problem has been solved, the science experiment can begin in earnest – not to mention the role-playing!

Our little minifigure scientist needs a way of making the same jump the polar bear mama did, so he can study them up close.
Once again, we provide the bricks. But once again, you provide the rest.
Wylie Bricks used the bricks to create a water raft, a snowmobile… even a hovercraft!
We can’t wait to see what kind of inventive solutions your kid will come up with!
