A look inside the latest LEGO® Star Wars™ Ultimate Collector Series set

The bounty-hunting father-and-son duo of Jango and Boba Fett are two of the most beloved characters in the Star Wars™ saga. Mysterious, enigmatic and downright cool, their names and reputations would garner fear and respect throughout the galaxy.

And just as well-known is their distinctive ship.

Now, you can bring that ship into your home with the LEGO® Star Wars Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship set, the latest in a long line of iconic Star Wars starships brought to life through our Ultimate Collector Series (UCS).

But before you set out to hunt down this superb new set, we thought we’d tell you everything you can expect.

So, get ready to buckle up with the galaxy’s favorite bounty hunters as we take a tour of the distinctive Firespray-class starship.

Passed down from father to son

The LEGO Star Wars Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship set appears as it was in the second prequel, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones™ when it belonged to Jango Fett.

Aside from its unique exterior design, the cockpit window (a brand-new element, by the way) detaches to give you access to the seating area, and you can push the entrance ramp open to access the interior. A secret compartment also contains a seismic charge.

The charge can be seen when the model is displayed vertically, but the movable doors mean it’s up to you if you want it on show. The whole model is decorated with the intricate level of detail that fans have come to expect from the UCS.

The ship is colored in the signature Jango Fett scheme, which is blue and white with a yellow trim. The very eagle-eyed might remember a smaller set based on the ship in this color pattern way back from 2002.

It was later recolored by Boba Fett to match the distinctive color scheme of his armor. It was then used, perhaps most memorably, for transporting Han Solo frozen in carbonite from Lando Calrissian’s Cloud City to Jabba’s Palace on Tatooine.

If you’re interested in the Star Wars chronology, you’ll know that not long after Han was unfrozen, he was taken to the Sarlacc Pit where a grim fate awaited him. If you wanted your Star Wars displays to run in order, then you should check out another UCS set, LEGO Star Wars Jabba’s Sail Barge™.

Two true icons of the Star Wars™ galaxy

In the original Star Wars™ film trilogy, Boba Fett appeared in both The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi. However, in those movies, he was actually only on screen for 6 minutes and 32 seconds and he had just four lines.

Yet his legend was born, and it wasn’t long before the mysterious bounty hunter became a fan favorite. Fans were eager to know more about him and where he came from, and many of those questions would soon be answered.

Enter Jango Fett, who appeared in the prequel trilogy as a solitary bounty hunter and the genetic template for millions of Clone Troopers. He didn’t survive his encounter with Jedi master Mace Windu, but his legacy lived on through his son.

You can celebrate this legacy with the two LEGO® Star Wars minifigures included in this set. The Jango Fett and Young Boba Fett LEGO Star Wars minifigures have been updated for this set and can be placed inside a removable section of the starship’s cockpit or displayed alongside it.

Built for display in flight or landing mode

The LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series gives fans the chance to build large-scale, detailed replicas of some of the most iconic starships from Star Wars.

These sets are enjoyable and challenging to build and make stunning at-home displays. Whether you have one set or collect them all, they make statement pieces for your home office or living room.

The LEGO Star Wars Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship is a large 2,970-piece set that measures over 7.5 inches (19 cm) high, 17.5 inches (44 cm) long and 15.5 inches (39 cm) wide in flight mode.

It can be displayed either on a flat surface in landing mode or in its unique upright flight position on the buildable stand. However you choose to display it, the wings will rotate so that they’re in the correct orientation. The set also comes with a display plaque complete with all of the key details for the ship.

    The saga continues…

Star Wars continues to captivate adoring fans all over the world. So, celebrate your love of all things from the series or get the perfect gift for a super fan with the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series.
