Connecting your LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 with the USB cable

To connect your LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 with your USB cable, plug the Mini-USB end of the cable into the EV3 Intelligent Brick’s PC Port (located next to Port D). Plug the USB end into your computer. Turn the P-Brick on if it isn’t already.

You’ll see a ‘USB’ icon next to battery indicator on your P-Brick if it connected properly.



The button below ‘USB’ in the Hardware Page of the EV3 software will also be filled in.



If this doesn’t happen, there may be a problem with your USB cable. You can try another cable or contact us for additional help.
