Verifiable Parental Consent
What’s consent?
As a parent or legal guardian, you can control which online activities, such as commenting and sharing images, you want your child to take part in on LEGO® digital experiences.
Why is my consent needed for my child’s LEGO digital experiences?
We’re not allowed to process any personal data of children under the age of 16, and we’ll need to get permission from the parent or guardian when a child wants to sign up for an online account.
Verifying your account
To verify your account and provide consents for your child’s account, you have to be 18 years old. We’ll ask you to prove that you’re this age or older by submitting ID documents, credit card info or taking a quick face scan that uses the front camera on your device to estimate your age. If you decide to use your credit card, a pending charge may be applied, but no money will be taken out of your account.
If you’d prefer not to verify your identity, your child can still enjoy the LEGO Play app, but some features won’t be available.
Where can I change the permissions I’ve given my child?
As a parent or guardian, you can change and edit consents by logging in to your account and clicking or tapping “Family” on your profile.
