    This is one of those kits that I did not go with an intention of purchasing, it was the a combination of the pack art and the fact it linked with 3 other sets to make one large game that did it for me. I have still not figured out how to play the game BUT I do know that these sets look absolutely phenomenal on display together. The detailing on this particular build is incredible. Yes, it looks great from the front but the rear is chock full of little rooms including an actual jail cell and a spell room for the Skull Sorcerer himself. I was surprised at the level of detail to the back of the build and am still trying to think of a way it can be seen on display but haven't figured that out yet. Definitely designed to play with and comes with a good selection of minifigures. I admit that I love all the Ninjago figures, especially the bad guys.     I bought this for rocks parts.. but the build has exceeded my expectations. The game it's trying to promote is a bit gimmicky.. but it is optional and adaptable. As a display piece, it looks awesome. The skull piece ties it all together and the set is bigger than it looks. As a playset it's open, adjustable, has 2 floors with interesting elements. The play feature moves parts all over the set. It also adapts well with the other sets with the combined theme.. that being said.. it feels as though "journey to skull dungeon" was cut from the set like a videogame DLC. The layout is simply 'lop-sided' without its inclusion. I understand it makes it easier on parents.. but when you buy both sets you end up with 2 green lloyds and no red Kai.. a very manipulative way to get you to buy a 3rd set to complete the team. It's not my favorite set. But it feels like the perfect playset I would have wanted for christmas as a kid. 9/10 .. I would give it a 10 if they just combined it with Journey and switched out a lloyd for Kai or Wu.

    This set is SO much fun! It comes with 8 action figures and the gameboard. the assembly instruction manual comes with it or there is an electronic version you can use by scanning a QR code. I would recommend assistance by a parent for kids 5-6 years old. This set has LOTS of parts, but the details are very cool!!! I also really admire the board game feature of this product. so not only do you get to enjoy putting it together, but it becomes part of a game! The entertainment exceeds the assembly! Lots of tiny weapons and accessories so make sure you keep track of those! if you are looing for an interactive Ninjago LEGO set....this one is IT!

    This Lego set is awesome! Time consuming - which is a positive, I didn't want something that would only occupy 20 minutes of my kids time. They put this together over a week period, working a little each day. There are 6 bags of bricks which helps keep everything organized. Very detailed directions. After it was all together, they had fun playing with the set. Great moveable pieces and features. Highly recommend for your Lego enthusiast!
