I couldn't resist as I encountered a good deal unexpected at a local shop while accompanying my kid for his birthday gift. It reminds me of my oldest day Lego Castle in the 80s while my kid was unbelievable happy with such an offer. First this #70317 Fortrex comes with 3 knights including the exclusive AXL. I like AXL's size although felt a bit let down afterward because of its armorless body. It was an one piece oversize upper body; while the arms are one piece WITHOUT the wrist articulation like most minifigures have. After all , AXL has the impressive size like the Hulk minifig. My kid enjoys the most the blue helmet knight called Clay and its not so attractive vehicle. It wasn't an impressive two wheels looking vehicle but well a Lego fans will make upgrade. Its wings are small but we assume it flies. #70315 is my kids' favorite as well. Now jumping to the villain that black monster solider has a magic book (good accessory) you 'd love to add into your collection. Then back to the good guys' Fortrex, it features a Round Table that sits 4 knights and able to put Merlok at the center. It was a great idea and good execution. I truly enjoyed the knights to talk with their mentor before heading to a battle. My pictures had #70324 attached as it looks much completed when it is put into play. I do highly recommend it.Play Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?

My son is still too young for this, so I got this set for myself to relive my childhood a bit. I used to play with Lego castle sets, and this looked like the closest thing in stores right now. This thing is just incredible. All the functional moving parts are impressive: the working Lego guns, moving turrets, functional treads, and the mechanism to open it up are. The way the drawbridge functions is genius compared to my old string-based ones. The set is about double the number of pieces I used to get in even the largest castles, which makes sense given the intricacy of all the parts. The pictures don't even do it justice because there's so much you can't see from just one angle. I'm looking forward to what's next for the Nexo Knights!Play Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?

Bought this for my 7 year old Lego fan for Xmas and was not disappointed. Very straight forward build. Very few complex pieces. Very sturdy, do not breaking or having bits fall off and need to be put on again like many of his other sets (Ninjago Destiny's bounty grrr). Especially pleased with its versatility - it opens and closes! And can store various knights - many living in its turrets. Some neat weaponry too. My son loves it and has played with it constantly. Brilliant. Works well with the playmat too.Play Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?

Neat idea. I like that the fortrex isn't just another standing castle but a mobile base for futuristic knights. The castle rides on tank treads and can roll on any surface thanks to a new technic rubber piece! The entrance is a classic style drawbridge and the inside is what you'd expect in a base. You have the kitchen-Axl's probably behind that-and a place to train too. Up top you have one prison and a large cannon as well. In the center of the fortrex is a spot where the nexo knights can sit and consult with Merlok 2.0- four knights can sit around him. A bike comes in the set which is a nice sturdy build and so does a neat chef-bot. The monsters get a small vehicle in this set which has a nice design and is able to shoot discs. You get a few minifigs including Axl, Aaron, and a couple others. I feel like more minifigures should have been included and it's unfortunate that Axl's hands don't have articulation but what can you do. Overall, this set is a great start to the new theme and Lego didn't disappoint. I like the idea and execution of the fortrex and I would certainly recommend it.Play Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?
