Always building for tomorrow
We want to play our part in building a more sustainable future for children – and we’re taking on this challenge with creativity and optimism.
We’re working hard to minimise our impact on the environment, which is why we're investing in more sustainable materials, exploring how to make our business more circular, improving energy efficiency and expanding on-site renewable energy production.
And at the heart of our efforts is making durable, high quality LEGO® bricks and elements that are made to be played over and over, and passed on through the generations so that the fun never stops.
LEGO® bricks and packaging for the future
Reducing our environmental impact

Our targets and climate action
We aim to reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from making and selling LEGO® bricks across our factories, offices and stores, and in our supply chain. We are working towards our science-based emissions reduction target to reduce our absolute GHG emissions by 37% by 2032, compared to 2019. To engage colleagues in achieving our 2032 target, we’ve introduced an annual key performance indicator which sets a yearly emissions target. We believe all employees can play a part in meeting our goals, so from 2024 a percentage of our performance management program for all salaried colleagues’ bonuses will be tied to annual emissions.

In partnership with WWF
The LEGO Group partners with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) as part of our effort to reduce carbon emissions in our operations and supply chain, and to promote global action on climate change.
