The More You Play, The More You Grow with Tiffany!

The More You Play, The More You Grow with Tiffany!

Tiffany is a two-time toddler parent who sees LEGO® DUPLO® bricks as an invitation to slow down and grow alongside her little ones. She loves bringing the LEGO DUPLO Interactive Adventure Train set into playtime to sharpen fine motor skills, work on hand-eye coordination and teach problem solving. They also give the whole family a chance to practice patience, teamwork and, of course, their train sounds! Her best piece of advice to other toddler parents is, “let go of perfection and embrace the mess!”

Toddlers aren’t the only ones who can learn through play. Toddler parents can too! Here are three fun activities to try with the LEGO DUPLO Interactive Adventure Train that can help you both develop and grow.

    Fix That Track

Remove a piece of track and see if your toddler can get the train running again. If they’re successful, remove another one. Don’t worry if they get a little frustrated. They’re actually learning how to solve problems. And by managing their emotions, you’ll practice patience and problem solving, too!

    Bird In, Bird Out

Get the train running and have your toddler sit in place. Give them the set’s bird figure and have them put it in the train when it passes by and take it out when it passes by again – each time saying, “bird in!” and “bird out!” Repeat until your toddler has mastered it. This won’t just have your toddler laughing, it will teach them fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. And you’ll both practice mindfulness while bonding around the activity.

    Sound Off!

Trains, conductors, dogs and even trees make their own unique sounds – especially when they come from your mouth. So, demonstrate a sound related to anything in the set, and have them voice their own version back. They’re not just learning the skill of recreating the world around them. You both are building your relationship as you laugh and co-play.
