Danielle Ottink-van den Broek

Danielle (Daan) Ottink ‑ van den Broek joined the LEGO Group in 2025 and was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer on 1 April 2026. In this role, she leads the People, Places and Culture organisation, delivering on the LEGO Group’s People Promise and enabling all employees to succeed and grow together.

Daan oversees the LEGO Group’s global people strategy, with responsibility for attracting, developing and retaining talent, shaping organisational culture, and ensuring workplaces where colleagues can thrive. She is also responsible for the LEGO Group’s social responsibility efforts which focus on developing children’s critical skills with learning through play initiatives.

Prior to joining the LEGO Group, Daan built a 27 year career at Unilever, where she held a wide range of senior HR leadership roles across geographies and functions. Most recently, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer for Unilever’s Global Personal Care Business Group and Global Functions, with responsibility for HR across multiple categories and functions worldwide.

Daan holds a Master’s degree in Management & Organisation from the University of Groningen and a Master’s degree in Strategic Human Resource Management from Rotterdam School of Management.
