Travel to Venice with this LEGO® Icons Venetian Neighborhood

Few places on earth capture one’s imagination quite like Venetian cities. Cities built on water, threaded with canals, draped in centuries of art, music, and spectacle. It has inspired painters, composers, and storytellers for generations. Now, it’s your turn… brick by brick.

The new LEGO® Icons Venetian Neighborhood (11388) is a highly detailed, 5,682-piece diorama that brings a canal-side slice of Italian life to your shelf, desk, or living room. Brimming with stories that take place during the Carnival.

A neighborhood full of life

Rather than recreating any single landmark, this set conjures the feeling of wandering through a Venetian street: the glow of a chandelier, a glassblower at work, the faint notes of a street musician drifting across cobblestones, people wearing Carnival masks, the gondolas… Are you already imagining yourself in Italy?

This diorama is built around three main structures, each with its own character, story, and surprises. Together they form a modular scene that can be separated into two sections and rearranged into different layouts, giving you the flexibility to adapt the set’s display to your space.

From the Villa to the Clock Tower

The centerpiece of this set is a large villa that rises over the canal-side street. There’s a glassware boutique on the ground floor (a nod to the centuries-old tradition of Venetian glassmaking) decorated with pieces and joined by a glassblower minifigure.

Follow the staircase up to the first floor and the scene shifts entirely. The apartment is decorated with a chandelier overhead, a minifigure raising a martini glass in one hand and a slice of a beloved coffee-flavored regional delicacy resting on the table. The perfect snapshot of Venetian life at its most indulgent.

Adjoining the villa, a bell tower rises prominently at the left edge of the scene. At its base, there’s a glass-blowing workshop where a glassblower minifigure is hard at work. The ground floor leads to a canal passage that connects the buildings, giving the set much of its sense of depth and atmosphere.

This is where one of the model's most delightful details comes to life: a gondola sailing silently beneath the arched pedestrian bridge, ferrying a lone passenger past the city’s waterside façades. The gondola is one of the most iconic images of this canal city, and crossing under the bridge conveys a sense of discovery at every turn.

Cross the bridge to arrive at the set's most architecturally dramatic structure: the astrological clock tower. Inside, the clock mechanism and a telescope hint at the tower's scientific purpose. Outside, visitors can enter through a ground-floor ticket machine and entrance. On the wall above, the winged lion inspired by the Lion of Saint Mark (the enduring symbol of Venice) keeps watch over the scene.

The clock itself is fully operational via a knob on the side. Its face is decorated with astrological tiles that shift and turn as you move it. This is one of the several interactive features that elevate this set, bringing the display piece to life beyond a static build.

Nearby, an olive tree adds a touch of greenery to the scene and a street piano sits ready to perform: turn the flower bouquet on top and it plays a melody. A perfect example of the detail woven through every corner of this model.

16 characters, countless stories

This set comes with 16 minifigures that, together, paint a vivid portrait of Venetian life at Carnival time. Two carnival participants take center stage: one dressed as the Sun, one as the Moon, a classic Venetian masquerade pairing said to represent eternal lovers and the union of opposing celestial forces, brilliance and passion meeting mystery and night. Alongside them stands a violinist, placed as a quiet tribute to one of Venice's most celebrated musical sons.

Gondoliers, tourists, a glassblower, and an assortment of costumed citizens complete the cast that enriches this set’s storytelling. Shift the sections, rearrange the minifigures and watch a new scene emerge.

A statement piece for your space

At over 19 in. (48 cm) high and 25 in. (64 cm) wide, the Venetian Neighborhood set will draw everyone’s attention wherever it’s placed. Floors and roofs can be removed to reveal the interiors in detail.

Perfect for fans of European architecture, Italian culture, or those who simply love beautiful, story-rich LEGO® sets.
