No new Technic sets had me feeling melancholy one night, and I happened to see this set sitting in a cart among other unsold items at my local store giant. Price checker indicated that it was marked down, so it went home with me. That was a stroke of luck. This set is tiny, but was absolutely fun to build. The dump snaps back with authority with a twist of a little knob, and the one cylinder engine is a trip. The best thing though, is not easily seen on the box picture. The engine has a serpentine belt which wraps around three gears. When the truck is pushed forward, the little piston goes up and down and the serpentine belt springs to life. I thought that was an awesome touch. It's a solid, fun little guy, and the steering is well done.Play Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?

A nice set for every Technic fan, the Mining Truck is a good investment. The price is easy for most people to achieve, and the parts assortment is excellent. A simple gear selection, 4 jet black tires, panels, and a one piston engine. The piston is connected to the drive train via chain linkage. It has front wheel steering, which is controlled by a small gear on the top. It introduces a unique dumping function, that hasn't been utilized before. The only bad thing about it is that you can't steer and dump objects at the same time, because your hand obstructs the path of the dump bed. If you have money on you, buy the Mining Truck!Play Experience4.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?

For the thirty dollars USA at Toys R Us, this set was very good. Assuming every piece cost 10 cents, the price would be more 40$-ish. The set has a wide range of functions, and the amount of new pieces is astonishing for a build this size! I have this set on my shelf of Great Lego Sets. The title of this review is no exaggeration!Play Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?

I'm a 39 year old who just started doing Lego as my niece and nephew started doing little sets. I decided to do this Technic set. I loved it, was a bit frustrating as I just started. But after finishing it, I wanted to do more. Looking for a much bigger set now within the Technic sets.Play Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?
