- August 4th, 2021Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Luigi!!!I would recommend this to a friend!I LOVE this set! I pre ordered it and got it the 2nd of August, and built it right away. I had a little trouble with the Bluetooth connection at first. He would freeze up whenever I tried to connect him. But it can be fixed by turning off Bluetooth on the device and restart it five seconds later. (Thanks lego for the troubleshooting section!) The teamwork aspect is really fun, as you can each gain coins for doing things in sync, like walking, jumping, or stomping enemies. You can compete with each other when connected to a device. After the flag pole, it counts your coins separately, so you can see the coins for each figure. As for the set itself, I really enjoyed it. The build was relatively simple, as expected (not a complaint though), and the see-saw thing is fine, but the way It is positioned, when you knock over boom boom on the tower, the gear is either too close or too far away. And the tower will often fall down when used like this. The flying gear is similar to the cloud from the Mario starter set, with a few differences. First, the top rotates like a gear, and will give you coins when you rotate it. Second, it is very much like the propeller suit, because you can put Luigi on it and make it fly, just like the suit, and glide back down and give you coins (this is not shown on the demos in the app). I love the pink yoshi and how they made it like you can play with him. Yoshi will eat anything that is one life, and give you three coins for each enemy instead of one. Yoshi will last until you eat three enemies (or get hurt like lava or boo, etc.) and then the bar code is just a little “meet n greet” like the yoshi from Mario’s house. As for the Luigi figure, he has the same interactions as Mario, but with a different voice. Looking at the pictures, I wondered about the little cheek outlines on him and didn’t think it looked great, but in person it is a lot more subtle and it looks fine. He can wear the same suits as Mario, but propeller, cat, builder, and fire suits don’t look good on him since they are red and have the M on the hat. I’m hoping lego will soon release special green variations of these suits. The tanooki and penguin suits look great on him, since they are generic and don’t have any M’s on them. I imagine the new bee and frog suits are the same. Over all a wonderful set and I am VERY happy with my purchase! I definitely recommend this!10 August 2021Jane, LEGO® Customer ServiceWe're so happy to hear the troubleshoot steps fixed your issue! - August 7th, 2021Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0LuigiI would recommend this to a friend!I bought for myself to build, also for my 3 years old can play after I build it. I think the Luigi one is much better build then the Mario one, I can also see some improved adjustments. But the app some time is confusing even for parents. But my 3 years old like to play with the app anyway. So I give a 5 star.

- August 4th, 2021Average rating4out of 5 stars4.0Lego Luigi time!I would recommend this to a friend!Bought this for the Luigi figure, ended up with an excellent sampling of course building parts and a 2-player game mode that is simply phenomenal. The electronic Luigi might be even cuter than the Mario one, which I didn’t think was even possible. Love the voice lines, and next to Mario, the two make a great pair. Speaking of a great pair, I knew next to nothing about the 2 player mode before I tried it out. I was blown away. You get coin bonuses for completing tasks together (ex. taking turns stomping on Boom Boom) and you high five each other when you reach the goal. I can envision many Nintendo parents justifying this purchase with this feature… and it’s totally worth it! Makes an already fun system even better. The course elements included are varied and are entirely different environments from the Mario one. Figures are cute, especially Pink Yoshi. I did have a bit of trouble connecting Luigi, ended up reinstalling the batteries when the figure froze up. Eventually worked out. The digital app instructions were glitched as heck, colors were whack and completely different from the physical pieces, and prints just didn’t show up on screen. Couldn’t imagine putting together a 1,000 piece set like that, was very disorienting. Overall, I do recommend this to anyone who wants to expand their course, wants to play with friends, or who prefers Luigi over Mario. Just be prepared for app shortcomings and a premium price.Play Experience5.0Value for Money4.0Was this helpful?45Adventures with Luigi Starter Course
- August 23rd, 2021Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Great Fun, Especially for 2-PlayerI would recommend this to a friend!Luigi doesn't disappoint, with lots of fun interactions between him and Mario. One of our favorites was the concern the brothers show when the other falls down. The extra poison swamp and sand pieces are appreciated. The spinning seasaw provided a lot of fun 2-player action and we ended up with 114 coins on our first 2-Player run. One thing to note is that the initial update can take a *long* time. It took a couple minutes before the progress bar on Luigi started movie, so be patient.Play Experience5.0Value for Money4.0Was this helpful?55Adventures with Luigi Starter Course
