What to do if your payment method is declined
We’re sorry to hear that you’re having a problem with your LEGO® Shop or LEGO® parts payment. Here are some tips to make sure your payment processes correctly:
- Please check that all the information you entered is correct and up to date. Credit Card, Debit Card, Gift Card and phone numbers should not have any dashes, spaces or other special characters.
- Card expiration dates should be in a MM/YY format, with the month in the first box to the left and the year in the second.
- Gift Card numbers must be accompanied by a PIN and Credit/Debit cards by a CVV code (the short number on the back of your card).
- If you’re paying with PayPal (not available in all regions), check your preferred billing and shipping address on the PayPal website and LEGO® Shop. Often PayPal will overwrite your LEGO® Shop defaults.
- When LEGO® Shop recommends a “suggested” address, use that address if it’s correct. The billing address you enter must match the address on file with your bank.
- If all the information you entered looks correct, there may not be enough funds available on your payment method of choice. Check with your bank to find out if this is the case.
If everything seems to be fine but your payment still isn’t going through, please call us. We’ll be happy to help sort things out!
