    DUPLO® Connected Train app

    Check out the free DUPLO® train app for even more fun with our LEGO® DUPLO Connected trains! Designed for kids age 2 ½ and up, the app stimulates motoric skills, cause-effect reasoning, emotional development and creativity while playing with the train. There’s also lots of small stories and funny characters!

    The DUPLO Train app is a great way to enhance the physical play experience with plenty of fun and engaging activities that entertain and inspire. Find download links and system requirements here.
     

    Which DUPLO Train sets work with the app?

    LEGO DUPLO Cargo Train (10875) or LEGO DUPLO Steam Train (10874) are required to use the LEGO DUPLO Connected Train app. Both sets sold separately.

    How is the app connecting to the DUPLO train?

    The app is connected via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection.

    The following permissions are required for the app to work properly:
     

    • Access Photos, Media and Files permission is required to install additional art assets and sounds on your device. It’s not used to access files or photos stored on your device.
    • For Android devices, the Location permission is required to connect to the DUPLO Train toy via Bluetooth. This permission is only used to enable Bluetooth and doesn’t track your physical location.

    LEGO System A/S is committed to your child’s privacy and online safety. The DUPLO Train app does not track your location or collect any information that could identify your child.
     

    How can I keep my child from accidentally exiting the app on an iOS device?

    Before handing over your iOS device to your child, it’s possible to deactivate the Home button. This will keep your child from accidentally exiting the app. To enable Guided Access, open the Settings app and select General, then Accessibility. From there, choose Guided Access and set up your password. Once Guided Access is activated, simply open the DUPLO Train app and quickly press the Home button 3 times to enable the feature.

    If your device doesn’t have a Home button, you can set up Guided Access the same way, and quickly press the side button three times to enable it.
