With so many characters from across the galaxy, it’s hard to pick our favorites. But here are some of the most widely beloved characters from the series.

Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker

It’s hard to name a more iconic Star Wars™ character than Darth Vader himself. The combination of his signature black helmet, deep, booming voice, and famous theme music (The Imperial March) makes him one imposing and unforgettable figure. He’s the bad guy you just can’t help but love.

He wasn’t always a member of the dark side, though. In the Prequel Trilogy, starting with Star Wars: The Phantom Menace™, we meet Anakin Skywalker, a young boy with a love of pod racing and a strong connection to the Force. As he grows up, he faces many difficult choices – choices that ultimately lead him to the dark side.
