Most magical scenes that take place on the Hogwarts Express™

Platform 9 ¾™ this way! We will never get enough of the magical adventures that take place at Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Defeating evil, bonding over Butterbeer and House rivalry... ahhh, the memories...

Of course, none of it would be possible without the famous train that gets you there (unless you own a flying car).

Now you can take your fandom a step further by building the new LEGO Harry Potter™ Hogwarts Express™ – our biggest replica of the steam train to date.

Fun fact: Before the Hogwarts Express was invented, witches and wizards would travel to school by broomstick, enchanted cars or magical creatures. It was by no means practical because luggage was too heavy to be transported that way, and Muggles could spot the students far too easily.

But back to the point!

The Hogwarts Express had its fair few memorable moments, and to celebrate the set, here are some fan-favorite scenes that take place on the iconic train...

The start of a special friendship

Anything from the trolley dears?

Transporting students from King’s Cross all the way to Hogsmeade™ Station, the Hogwarts Express is where young Harry Potter tries his first chocolate frog, and most notably when he, Ron and Hermione first meet.

You get 20 minifigures in the set (yes, 20!!), including the famous trio, so you can recreate the momentous encounter from Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone™.

Our LEGO set has been crafted with adult witches and wizards in mind, measuring over 118 cm long (packed with authentic details inside and out), plus three compartments on the carriage where you can display different scenes.

“You’ve got dirt on your nose, by the way... did you know?” –

Hermione Granger™, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone™

It even comes with an attachable Platform 9 ¾™, so you can re-enact students arriving out of the secret barrier between Platforms 9 and 10.

The Dementor™ attack

The Hogwarts Express™ played host to darker times too, like the spine-tingling Dementor™ attack in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban™. Where. Everything. Goes. Cold.

Dementors™ might even be more terrifying than You-Know-Who, but not when Professor Lupin is around.

Lupin (everyone’s favorite Defence Against the Dark Arts professor) gets his own minifigure, so you can recreate the scene when he performs the Patronus charm to chase away the Dementor.

When Luna saves Harry

One of Malfoy’s crueler moments took place in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince™ when he cast Petrificus Totalus on Harry and then proceeded to break his nose aboard the carriage.

Luckily for Harry, Luna Lovegood™ came to his rescue (thanks to the Wrackspurts), so we simply had to give the eccentric Ravenclaw™ a new Minifigure.

Each moment in this set is captured with an iconic quote from the movie, so that you can display your favorite scenes with pride!

A new generation

Allegedly, it took a record 167 Memory Charms and the biggest Concealment Charm in wizarding history to acquire and launch the Hogwarts Express in the early 19th century.

It was well worth it though, because the Hogwarts Express remains a mode of transport for future generations of students for years to come.

That was shown beautifully in the ending scene of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows™ – Part 2 when Harry’s son, Albus Severus Potter, nervously steps on board.

The new LEGO set is a homage to the beloved movies and sits on a track display base, equipped with a steam engine, a coal car and a turning lever on the locomotive to activate the driving wheels.

Create your own magic

Why not get creative and create your own scenes on the LEGO Hogwarts Express? Whether you want a relaxing building experience, for display or for play, we all need a bit of magic in our lives...
