On application to the US Customs and Border Protection authorities, LEGO Systems, Inc.
has been approved as a C-TPAT partner.
C-TPAT is a joint initiative between the American government and the business community for the purpose of optimising security in connection with the import of goods to the United States.
Approval applies to the LEGO Group's entire supply chain, including manufacturing, warehousing and shipping processes irrespective whether these are by sea borne container or by air.
Approval involves an undertaking to submit to auditing by US customs authorities.
In obtaining approval, the LEGO Group undertakes to ensure that our vendors also observe C-TPAT requirements.
C-TPAT standards are also incorporated in the LEGO Group's quality management system, which carries DS/EN ISO 9001:2000 certification.
