Meet the LEGO® ONE PIECE Characters!

Hey there, pirates! Do your kids love the LEGO® ONE PIECE characters? If they, like free-spirited Luffy, won’t stop talking about Luffy taking down Arlong, then we have the ultimate treasure for you. And there’s no need to cross dangerous seas to bag this simple guide to who’s who in LEGO ONE PIECE.

Based on the popular manga series of the same name, created by Eiichiro Oda, the Netflix series ONE PIECE sailed onto our screens back in 2023, while series two will swashbuckle forward in 2026. The show follows the adventures of a group of hapless pirates named the Straw Hats as they explore the seas in search of the famous One Piece – a mysterious treasure hidden by the former King of the Pirates, Gol D. Roger.

Named the Straw Hats thanks to Captain Luffy’s signature straw headgear, which once belonged to Gol D. Roger, this young group of dreamers will stop at nothing until they find the One Piece treasure. Walk (the plank) this way for all the info you need to know about the LEGO ONE PIECE minifigures and characters…

    Luffy

Who says pirates have to be scary? Enthusiastic young pirate ‘Monkey’ D. Luffy is on a quest to become King of the Pirates, but that doesn’t mean he’s evil. In fact, the 17-year-old captain of the LEGO Straw Hat Pirates will often stray from his own mission if it means helping others fulfil their dreams.

After eating a mystical Gum Gum fruit as a child – a rare fruit that grants special powers – this LEGO ONE PIECE character gained the unique ability to turn his body into rubber and stretch amazing distances. There’s one downside though, if Luffy touches sea water, he loses his powers and can’t swim. A pirate who can’t swim? Shiver me timbers!

    Zoro

Step aside for the fiercest bounty hunter in the East Blue! Roronoa Zoro’s three deadly swords are as sharp as his fearless resolve, and this ‘Pirate Hunter’ has no patience for fools. The 19-year-old became Luffy’s first mate shortly after they first met and with his goal to become world’s greatest swordsman, he’s one LEGO ONE PIECE minifigure you certainly don’t want to get on the wrong side of…

    Nami

This rebellious 18-year-old won’t apologize for who she is, even if that means lying, cheating or stealing to get exactly what she wants – especially when it’s for the good of her friends. A brilliant strategist and skilled fighter, Nami joins the Straw Hats as a highly skilled navigator in the hopes of achieving her dream of drawing a map of the whole world. But while she longs for friendship, this independent spirit keeps her guard up – even around her own crew.

    Usopp

This 17-year-old was once known as ‘the boy who cried pirate’ thanks to his elaborate stories, but now he’s fulfilling his aspirations to become a great warrior of the sea since joining the Straw Hat crew. A kind but self-doubting abandoned son of an infamous Red-Haired Pirate, Usopp is in pursuit of fame and glory – something he might just gain as a sharpshooter with the Straw Hats.

    Sanji

A talented cook with a big vision, 19-year-old Sanji’s goal is to find the All Blue – a legendary connection point where you can source ingredients from all four seas. When he’s not cooking up a mean meal in the kitchen, Sanji is also a talented martial artist. But to protect his hands for cooking, Sanji adopts a kick-based fighting technique. A formidable foe, particularly when he’s faced with oregano!

Who are the LEGO® ONE PIECE character villains?

While Luffy may be set on changing the perception of pirates across the world, there are plenty of LEGO ONE PIECE character villains who help pirates earn their dastardly reputation. Here are a few of the deadliest to look out for:

Arlong: A huge half-human, half-sawshark fishman and the leader of the feared Arlong Pirates, this villain plans to rule over humans once he finds the One Piece.

Buggy The Clown: With a grin as unhinged as his band of fearsome freaks, this terrifying foe has the ability to sever his body parts after eating a Devil Fruit as a child.

Dracule Mihawk: This suavely dressed opponent is both a pirate and one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Oh, and he’s also the greatest swordsman in the world. Gulp!

Now you’re well versed in the LEGO ONE PIECE minifigures and characters, it’s time to take to the seas and impress your kids with your knowledge!
