Playing our part in a sustainable future

At the LEGO Group, everything we do is guided by our vision to become a global force for learning through play, our fundamental belief in children’s right to play, and our mission to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow. When children play they build essential life skills they learn to solve problems and boost confidence, creativity and resilience whilst having fun.

Our focus

We want children to inherit a healthy planet. We’re determined to play our part in making that happen and there’s no time to waste. Climate change is affecting life on earth for plants, animals and people. Each year, we receive hundreds of letters from children with great ideas about how we can make a difference in the world and help care for the environment. We want them to know that we are listening, and that we are working hard to play our part in building a sustainable future and a more inclusive world.

Our commitments

Sustainability means the world to us

To reduce the environmental impact of all parts of our business, we are currently working on a broad range of initiatives, which include transitioning to more sustainable raw materials, using more sustainable packaging and making our business more circular. By 2025, we will have doubled our spending on sustainable initiatives compared to 2023.
