What is LEGO® DOTS?
Calling all arts and craft lovers! Dive into a colorful world of creativity and fun with LEGO® DOTS sets this 2022! What are LEGO DOTS? Well, they’re a universe of magical, colorful little tiles that let kids express themselves in infinite ways, with products they can assemble on the go, then re-design again and again (and again and again [and again]).
There are no rules with these sets, just blank canvases and your child’s imagination.

Step 1
Grab some plain bookends and find tiles to match your Hogwarts™ House colors.
Step 2
Peel off the adhesive on the back of the stick-on plate.
Step 3
Attach the plate to the top of the bookends, one on each.
Step 4
Now the fun begins… Time to DOT and re-DOT!
Step 5
Grab some extra LEGO® bricks to help extend your build into new shapes and structures.
Step 6
Attach your new, free build onto your bookends using your spare bricks.
Step 7
Continue to build larger structures, like this picture frame!

From worn to WOW
Everything deserves a second chance at being amazing. Even old tote bags!Step 1
Grab an old tote bag, DOTS tiles, stitch-on plates, and a needle & thread.
Step 2
To make a pocket, you’ll need at least 6 plates.
Step 3
Use thick thread to stitch them together (it’s okay if they’re a bit loose!)
Step 4
Stitch the pocket to your tote bag and get ready to DOT!
Step 5
Will you use symmetry or a lovely bit of chaos to achieve your desired effect?
Step 6
If you’re a true upscaling expert, snip off those handles...
Step 7
… and replace them with a LEGO® DOTS bracelet!
Step 8
Customize your bag even more by adding in some embroidery or painting around your pocket.
Step 9
Marvel in your creative geniusness. Is that a word? Maybe not. Maybe we don’t care.

Grab a mirror, marker pens, and as colorful ties and plates as you can find.
Step 2
Draw around the area where you’ll stick the plates.
Step 3
Begin DOTting the plates. There’s no right or wrong!

Peel off the backing...

… and stick them on around where you’ve drawn!

What age group is LEGO DOTS for?
LEGO DOTS is for anyone aged 6 and up! The endless array of colors and themes means it can be just as suitable for younger kids (who might enjoy the special tiles and bright colors) as it is for older kids and even grown-ups (who might enjoy the intricate pattern potential and artistic elements of the sets).
Can I use LEGO DOTS with normal LEGO bricks?
Yes, absolutely! Across all our many thousands of sets, we utilize something called the LEGO System in Play, which means that all elements fit together and can be used in multiple ways. Meaning you can add your DOTS tiles to anywhere you see a stud!
Do the LEGO DOTS bracelets fit adults?
You bet they do! They’re the perfect way to celebrate quirky friendships that last long after childhood is over. We also see plenty of people wearing them after being gifted them by their own kids, answering the age-old question of “Can you be adorable and fashionable at the same time?” with a resounding YES!
Is LEGO DOTS for girls?
LEGO DOTS is for girls and boys, just like every single product we produce across the entire LEGO range. And these aren’t just empty words. In 1963, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen, the son of our founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen, drew up a company mission statement called “10 LEGO Characteristics” that have formed the core of our subsequent product development. Number 2 was “For girls, for boys”. We like to think that DOTS live up to all those principles very well indeed!
