UpdatesOver half of LEGO Group packing lines switch from plastic bags to paper-based alternatives
The LEGO Group is celebrating a significant milestone in its journey to make all its packaging from more sustainable sources. Over half (56%) of packing lines that package LEGO bricks have now transitioned away from using single-use plastic bags, replacing them with sustainably sourced, technically recyclable paper-based alternatives.

UpdatesStronger reporting to track our climate progress
Each year, the LEGO Group tracks and reports its absolute Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions in accordance with the internationally recognised Greenhouse Gas Protocol framework. This includes emissions from direct operations, purchased energy, and other activities involved in making and selling LEGO® products, reported as Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Moving forward, the company will publish its GHG emissions report as part of its annual sustainability statement which is released each March. GHG reporting for 2024 and 2025 will be part of the report due in early March 2026.
